shoo fly!

it was 97 degrees today, so we had all the windows and doors open. a fly got in and circled our dinner. he copied us as we tried waving it away. he even repeated, "fly. fly. fly."

what you can't see (hidden by his hand) is how much noodle he has stuffed in his mouth with half of it hanging out.

he loves musical instruments, it makes him so happy.

"little" eater

lately he's literally been eating more than me every time we sit for a meal together. at least now he says, "more please".

this is what i walked two blocks for?

nj got a whole lot of candy, but we didn't give him any. i felt bad, but then i spotted a little box of raisins when i poured out the candy into a bowl. he seemed happy enough with his raisins. what he doesn't know won't hurt him, he won't even remember!
