we had to tell him that not everyone was done eating yet. such a good boy!

last goodbye

all through lunch, he smiled and stared at the waitresses and bus boy. so before leaving, he turned around to give another goodbye wave and a thank you. how polite!

to celebrate nj's adoption anniversary, we went to dim sum together. it wasn't his first dim sum, but he particularly enjoyed it today. these are some of his many happy faces he made!

he said "duck" today, not "guck". he even said "quack quack". he started to say, "goh goh" (dog) while looking around his high chair (looking to feed our dog, dotty). he picked up a piece of duck, pointed, and said "goh goh". i said, "no, not goh goh! duck!" i was in shock, but wanted to bust out laughing at the same time!

he used to have stuff in the kitchen to play with, but i took it away because of the mess he'd make. but now that he's getting into everything in there again, i gave him a new stash to play with.

we had hope group at our house this week and barbequed. we also had some cake to celebrate nj's first year home with us. thanks everyone for coming over to celebrate and eat some food and cake!
