we passed a little fountain and he wanted to see. i asked him to sit so i could take a picture. then he pointed to another fountain across the street and pulled me toward it.

put it back, don't touch...

i told him not to touch anything, but he moved one of the coffee bags. i asked him to put it back the way it was and he did.

i had to pry the blanket out of his little hands and he cried and complained to me about it. but i don't want him to be the kid dragging around a security blanket (even if this is the first time he's doing it).

nj took a blanket out of his laundry basket and started dragging it around. he's into chewing on it (usually in the mornings as he talks to himself). he took my hand, layed down in the tent and pointed for me to lay next to him. fine by me, i'm tired!

taking a stroll at the mall

we took a mall outing with two other mommies. but as the only mommy without a job, i was proud of myself for not buying anything. nj wanted out of the stroller, so i told him to hold on to the stroller. instead, he took hold of the handles and pushed it around.

we don't let nj play with keys. he got a hold of mine and i caught him trying to open our shoe locker. he brought over the stool to sit on and made himself comfy! all day everyday, he's been moving the stool wherever he wants to use it. i've given up when it comes to him carrying it around or sitting on it, but we definitely don't let him climb on it. especially to reach stuff (like food).

if you didn't know any better, you'd think he was telling me off! i didn't even know what i was catching on camera, so when i saw it came up on the computer i laughed quite loudly. surprise! silly little boy, more and more he has such a personality.

i don't know why, but he still loves climbing in and out from this stool. and he always gets stuck. now that he's bigger, he had his legs and head stuck today.

huh? i'm just sitting and waiting...

nj loves the toddler room, he doesn't cry any more. he's becoming much more social and loves to play with others. we're also told that he likes to clean up and put toys away. and if he can't communicate something, he'll take their hand to show them. he only needs to be shown how to do something once and he'll get it. how funny, makes us smile! as long as he's not crying any more!

auntie helen told us what he did today in the toddler room today... he spilled something and when they got a paper towel to wipe it up, he took it from them and wiped it up himself. when he was done, he took the paper towel and put it in the trash. ha ha! that made us laugh! yes, he's my "clean freak" boy in the making (or as baba likes to say, ocd). just like mama... i don't teach him, he just copies me!
