it was a little hot, so my back got slightly burned. thank goodness nj had sunblock on and some shade. we left during the peak of traffic, so it took a while to get home on surface streets. as we approached the house, nj clapped, squealed, and kicked with excitement. so we tried to get him to say, "home". he said it! but with an accent, it sounded more like: "homah". this kid is truly from taiwan!

grandma brought some leftovers for nj's dinner. i didn't warm it up or taste it. so i was wondering why he kept saying, "hot, hot". i thought he was just being silly. but then i tasted a noodle and it was spicy! bad mama, i should have listened.

tonight he learned how to say door and kept pointing it out to me.

recently, he learned to actually put the blocks together much better than before. so he can build and not just take them apart.
