He got his school pictures today! Hope we get to keep all of them!
Quick trip to the store, Ah-ma said she needed vitamins.
We needed to get fruit for a fruit salad, but someone else was interested in free samples.
Fundraiser at a local restaurant for NJ's school again. Going with the spring musical theme, it was a diner.
NJ took the challenge to see how long he could sit really still. He lasted about eleven minutes, which was way more than expected of him. He seems to like challenges and he does well when we time him to do stuff. It's funny how we've discovered that about him.
Making something fun for tomorrow. Hope they like it.

Spring Musical

Baba is spiking up and slicking back his hair for tonight's performance.
We went early to get seats and he immediately found his classmates and started running around, playing with them.
Such a cute theme and the kids all did a great job. NJ had us laughing at some of his moves. It was cute to see how much fun he was having. He really was singing and doing all the moves. He looks so much older in the last photo especially with the way he's sitting. So proud of him.

He loves using his spirograph. I think my mom also saved some pieces from our originals set that he also uses.
NJ made a cute little smiley face.
Someone likes turnip cakes, so much that he's eating right over it. You would think that we don't teach him about sharing.
Time to put things away so we can get ready for bed.
NJ's library book this week. We might actually have this book, but in a box somewhere. I used to have one that looked just like this one, I remember giving it to my best friend and her sister to read. He wanted to read the book and read most of it pretty well. I'm happy he's on his way to being a better reader.
Time for devotionals before saying good night.
Progress on the house. The drywall looks nice and smooth now.

Mommy & Son Night

Dotty has found her new favorite spot. If you can't find her, she's hiding in the stuffed animals. She needs a little wig and she'll be like ET. If only she didn't jump off the chair each time which is bad for her back. I tried a stool, but she doesn't use it.
After school he had a quick change and shower and we headed out. He fell asleep so I parked under a tree for him to nap a while. It was still pretty warm, but not too bad. When he was up from his nap we went to walk around a couple of stores. We didn't make it over to his before dinner so we went after all together.
Super hero theme! The boys decorated their own masks.
The sitting still game...
Who'll win? They both did of coarse!
The prize was a scoop of ice cream, they both chose strawberry as the topping.
They played some games during dessert until it was time to go.
Fun super hero poses! Silly boys. They had lots of fun (so did us mommies)!
Our after dinner stroll around the toy store. He always goes to look at his favorite stuff of coarse. We also looked at games for them to play so they are not glued to a screen every time they're together. I was beginning to think that everyone thought we were crazy for not giving him any devices... but I'm glad that just because we don't, doesn't mean that others don't see the value in the reasoning.
