"We going to boat parade?"

The Thanksgiving hat he made at school, I finally had a chance to take a photo of.
He did all four animals in the new box of puzzles he got. He did it pretty fast and refused my help. If I tried, he'd grab my hand and push it away. He was determined to do it on his own I guess.
Hey, who left the logs on the seats?
Annual Christmas boat parade. NJ got to watch it this year with his friends at Ah-gong's house. We all really enjoyed it. After, we went back to our place to let the kids watch some fun Christmas DVD's. We had hot chocolate and made some brownies. Yum! Nice and relaxing.
We cleaned up the house today and put up another tree that our friends were kind enough to pass on to us. I still couldn't take our white (turned yellow/brown) tree down, I still love it too much. At night when it's lit, it looks just as good as it ever has. That one has a blue, silver, and brown color scheme. On the green one we put some random fun ornaments and ones we've received from our adoption ornament exchanges. This will be our third year participating, I'm excited about the ones we'll be receiving this year.

"But I want to save some for Baba."

I could hear the track going from our room way too early in the morning. Someone was very excited to get up to play.
He gave the usual answer to the question, what do you want to eat? (Rice, corn, and chicken). So NJ got what he wanted for lunch and that made him smile!
Lazy day in pj's and resting on the couch.
My favorite thing is to have this face close up to mine. He's so sweet and cuddly.
NJ begged for some popcorn. We shared and finished a single serving bag. When we were almost done he made his little sad face and said, "But I want to save some for Baba. He won't have any. We have to save some for Baba until he gets home." Every time he hears he's out, he makes his pouty face and says, "But I want Baba to be home all day."

School Christmas Program

Pre performance, I dropped him off to his classroom where the kids gathered. His class is wearing Christmas pajamas. Thank goodness he happen to have some. There's reindeer heads on his feet, but I didn't want him walking around the school with bare pajama bottoms since it was white on the bottom.
I wish I knew what he was talking about to his classmate.
Unlike past church Christmas performances, he was actually singing a little and doing some motions. Yay!
His mid-song yawn which made us crack up.
All that singing and moving made for a hungry boy. We took him to Chick Fil A, which he requested. He even told us exactly how to get there.

We're so proud of him participating and happy for the opportunity to see him perform. His first school program was a success. His "firsts" are getting fewer and fewer since he's growing up so fast. I'm going to miss experiencing all these firsts. He'll still have more, but they'll be fewer and far between.

"Mmm, I like bacon Mama!"

NJ asked for french toast this morning. I said there wasn't enough time to make any so I offered him some bacon (Baba put some in the oven last night after worrying it would go bad). He didn't want me to put it in the toaster or microwave. He ate it cold and was so happy. "Mmm, I like bacon Mama!" This is his second piece.
Aww, my boys all snuggled up together on the couch.
And how cute, they're eating their dinner together with chopsticks in their mouth simultaneously (with Dotty intently staring).
"How we gonna do this?"
NJ and Baba had a lot of fun putting together the cool track together. They wanted to try different ways of assembling it. I loved watching the two of them enjoy it so much.

Adventures in Target

Playing some ball (which included running up and down the aisles)!
Trying out the cushy chair...
Sharing some snacks...
And eating them...
Then taking a little break.
One of the first things he says to me this morning: "Mama, after breakfast I'm going to change, then you go change and then drive me to ah-ee's house. Ok?" That's quite a plan, unfortunately we can't just drop in on someone. He begged and whined over wanting to see Auntie so I called. She was headed to the store and we met her there.

"Mmm, Mama this is so good."

"Mama can I sit up here, pleeeeease?"
"Mmm, Mama this is so good."
I made some noodle soup with chicken and bok choy and he ate two bowls of it. He got soup all over the front of his sweater from trying to drink the soup from the bowl.
After coming home from school he kept asking me who was coming over. I don't know, who's coming over? He says, "Why nobody's coming to our house? I like when friends are coming over. Can Auntie Ma-cole come to our house? I very want her to come to our house." Why? "Because I love her, I want to give her kisses and hugs." So I called her and had him repeat what he said to me. He did for the most part. I love that he likes people to come over. So do I.

"Why the trash didn't come yet?"

Enjoying his breakfast!
Watching the trash truck pick up our trash (and the neighbor's). He was waiting and waiting asking, "Why the trash didn't come yet?"
All bundled up to go out, it's chilly! No more rain today, it's been raining for quite a few days and everyday he'd ask, "Why is it still raining? Why God made it rain again today?" But today he was asking, "Why there's no more rain? Where's the sun?" He understands that sometimes there's rain and sometimes there's sun, but he doesn't understand when it's just gloomy. Usually it's either the sun out or the rain, overcast sky is confusing I guess.

What a day of surprises. NJ got to eat yummy snacks, watch tv, play, and do some crafts. By the time we left we gained another jacket for NJ, shoes, a Christmas tree, home made flan, and lots of make up and beauty products. We're feeling very blessed. :)
