day trip to portland
a quick stop for some waffle sandwiches, yum! we caught it while it was open, hours vary?
cool store with lots of stuff i wish i could buy or wish i could do myself.
upstairs is a gallery, this exhibit were photos of men with mustaches. interesting and elaborate mustaches.
this double decker bus was a shop, i think with dresses and accessories.
no coffee for me??

we're here!! nj goes straight for koda, and gets a warm greeting from him. yay, we made it!

the guys went out to grab food. we've never had sonic before so we gave it a try, not bad. baba was disappointed not to see roller skaters.

hitting the road...
nj was great in the car. we took breaks to let him walk around a convenient store and give him fresh milk. he was pretty content with all the great books he got to discover from his auntie ellen. he really liked the flip books. thanks auntie ellen, or should nj say thank you to calvin? we also played some music for him and sang them with him. he'd even hit his hand onto his book with the beat. ha, ha. we were surprised he really didn't complain, fuss, or cry. how is it possible?
dinner & lakers
we stopped for dinner where we could since there wasn't much choice. funny, this place had big screen with football playing. no one was there, so we asked them if we could change the channel. we changed it to the laker game. ha, ha (in sacramento... when there was a game there too).
