"But I want it burned." I only lightly toasted it (the way I like it), but he wanted it crunchy. He did a press test.
We had to clear his cabinet of toys in the living room so we brought some of it to his room to play. He wanted me to help him put blocks in front of each car to park it. Just like in parking lots, except these are random objects.
"But why this all over?"
"But why the man left this here?"
"But why it's not done yet?"
"But why they coming back when I wake up?"
"But why they not finish the floor?"
"But why I can't play in that room?"
NJ had plenty of questions about the flooring installation. It's too bad the new floor boards are slightly lighter. So the entire floor has to be replaced instead of only the parts that were damaged and taken out. What's an extra day of construction? I'm so used to it now, but it's getting annoying.
His makeshift dinner table for the night. It was the closest, reachable thing I could grab from the piled up furniture on the other side of the room. Good thing NJ is easy going and just went with it. I put everything on a tray to keep food from dropping onto the lego table. It would've been hard to clean between each nub. Dotty was ready and waiting as usual. I didn't let him leave the table since his plate was reachable by Dotty.
