Mmm, rice rolls and warm, sweet soy milk for brunch. Ah-ma brought the good stuff, Taiwanese breakfast from one of our favorite places near her. He ate the entire thing plus some green onion pancake. I couldn't even finish mine. It was so yummy though.
NJ gave mom a pretty good laugh. He asked her help to fix something on his truck. She couldn't see  so she put her glasses on to look. He was trying to get a closer look too so he took her glasses to put on. He thought he could also get a better look that way, but I'm sure it didn't work for him! Ah-ma was quite amused.
My mom brought some more plants for us. She brought in a lady bug and he brought out his bug kit trying to catch it.
He put it in the breathable container and had a good look at it.
They both found a good stick to put inside for it.
He's pretty excited about this!
NJ played his flute instruments from both Ah-ma's. He had a lot of fun, they both did. But Dot and I were not as happy, it was not easy on the ears!
I asked him to let the poor lady bug go since we don't want to torture or kill it.
NJ wanted to tell me he also caught an ant and a fly. It was cute that the two of them just hung out on the porch and were talking away about totally random things. I got some cleaning done in my office and bedroom while this was happening. I felt very productive with my mom occupying NJ and spending time with him.
I made us some smoothies again. NJ loves them so much. We ran out of straws though, he took the last one.
Baba put his tricycle in the garage and NJ found it I guess. He had a lot of fun on it like he used to. The seat cracked so much it's a bit wobbly, but fine. So many of our friend's kids are older and heavier so it's been well loved, haha!
Baba played a little handball with NJ. That is until the ball popped on the bushy fence. Must've been a branch with a sharp edge, there was a huge hole in it too big to try and fix.
Perfect timing to get out the soccer ball! They kicked the ball back and forth, trying to get it by each other. I loved being able to sit on our porch and just watch my boys play.

Bug Build! Or as they call it, kid Jenga. Ha, ha. They were having a lot of fun with it, it always looked like it was about to fall.

Woa, Legos and cars galore. I'm sure there are now pieces under our couch and in other random places! As long as they're having fun and getting along, it's great!
The boys brought out NJ's bunny hat he made. We were having a lot of laughs over it. We were taking turns and taking photos of each other. This one's the cutest of course!

Naughty Dotty making herself comfy on the couch. I found only her head peaking out of the pillows today.
Another great time for a smoothie! I'm making them slightly different each time with whatever we happen to have.

While waiting for the bell to ring in the morning at drop off or after school at pick up, I get lots of compliments on NJ's writing. It's improved so much since the beginning of the year!
The trash bins are so much bigger, I can hardly see him.
What a great helper! I asked him to get the smallest one, but he insisted on getting two.
Getting some homework done.
Mmm, thanks for the smoothie Mama! I called it a smoovie and he corrected me! He always used to say smoovie instead of smoothie. He really is growing up. There's fewer and fewer things that he cutely pronounces incorrectly. I'm kinda sad about that, but it's great that he's learning.
We got some Magic Tree House books from Cameron. He's just started reading it and he's on the second chapter, so proud of him! His first chapter books, yay!
We got this cute little table that someone gave us and it's a great size for him.
NJ made too big of a deal about his food touching at dinner. He really doesn't like his different foods to touch each other. Baba always looks at me because that's me too! Haha. I just laugh over it, but Baba doesn't want him to be obsessed over it so he made NJ his last lettuce wrap with two different fillings all in one. We watched his face as he was trying not to react. Baba kept asking him, "Is this ok? Are you going to eat it?!" Poor guy. He was fine though, he can't be so picky about how to eat.

Using the last of our dough for dinner. NJ was helpful with making them.
We tried to change it up by making calzones. We each had our own.
Turned out to be pretty tasty.
NJ finished his whole calzone.
Baba brought the dresser up by himself. I tried to help with the drawers.
Baba took my side table and it all fit perfectly. Now to put everything back, my clothes are all over the place. And laundry is overdo I'm running low on everything.
NJ reading his own devotional, what a difference from when we started devotionals with him.
Good Night Moon, we've been reading this to him even as a baby. It's so cute that he still loves it and reads it.

Baba finished the outer coat and put on the knobs. I can't believe how different it looks. I didn't get to take any other photos today, my camera ran out of batteries and I left it charging. This is all I got. I can't wait to get the dresser back in our room. I don't know where the day went, I wasn't feeling well so I rested through most of it.

Back to the library. NJ returned his books and is looking at more.

This time he got five, we're headed home to read them more. After homework.

NJ came home with work he did at school. It made us laugh. Grandma used to be a nurse, not a doctor and isn't gray hair pretty much white hair? Silly guy.

He looks so much older and bigger sitting at this table on this stool.

Baba has been working hard on painting the old dresser. It's looking nice.
We made pizza again with all the dough we still have. NJ really likes putting on his own toppings. He's even more excited about eating it. This time he finished all of it.

Easter Sunday

Egg hunt with his Sunday school class.
I turned around to take a photo of him and this was his pose. He's been collecting bouncy balls in his car seat cup holders. He just got another from the egg hunt.
Play time with Legos. He built a ship, it broke in the middle of the hall and he stopped to put it back together. It kept breaking so Baba and I kept walking over it.
Baba went to the hardware store to get more supplies and picked up a free tape measure to give to NJ. He's excited to use it and have his own.
NJ playing on Gong-gong's phone. He has a baby face in this photo, reminds me when he was younger and had bigger cheeks.
