Out for a date night. A group one, that is. We have one of all of us, but I don't remember who took it or where if I have it. We had some pool time and an adventurous search for sushi. I wish I could have enjoyed the pool the way I wanted to, but I couldn't submerge yet after surgery. I just sat pool side and dipped my feet in. Lots of fun, a nice quick getaway. We got to talk, pray, hang, eat, and laugh together.

"Can I get a refill?"

Total lego explosion. I should have known that he would not be keeping up with putting his pieces away properly. We spent some time re-sorting.

I wanted a picture of dotty, but she always rolls on her back when I get close. Ok, belly rub it is.

NJ was so excited about our turkey chili dinner with cheese and chips. He went crazy for it and said: "I'm going to eat aaaaaaallll of this!"
"Hey Baba, can I get a refill?"
"I want to eat this every day!"
"When I'm older I'm going to cook this every month, week, day! And you can help!"

Seeing him climb this makes us realize just how big he's gotten. Before he could barely get himself to the up to climb it and it took him a while to get to the top. Now he does it easily. Pretty soon everything will be easier for him. He's growing so much!
The boys took a train ride and NJ was especially excited. It seemed like this driver today had a need for speed. I've never seen it go so fast. It didn't help that NJ was yelling, "Faster, faster!"
I don't think he could hear, but I don't think it mattered. We had a nice little night out. We got a few more veggies and fruit and nuts. We also got some flowers to give to our neighbor who we heard hasn't been feeling well. We visited them after leaving here and got to catch up with them for a bit.

A visit to the farmer's market with my best friend. We split the some asparagus and kale. I also got some zucchini and squash. We were pleasantly surprised to see that this vendor had all kinds of chinese, taiwanese, and asian veggies. Neither of us could remember the proper names for anything in english or taiwanese, but we recognize when they've been on our plates before. It was a nice stroll getting fresh produce and talking. It got hot pretty quick though so we didn't stay too long.
Ready to start my latest project, an order I got. I waited a bit too long to start, too many things getting in the way. I'm thankful for the job!
Almost done, now to personalize it.
I love having my own personal product photographer.
Then back to playing again. Later Ah-ma came and we had dinner together. We made the veggies I picked up this morning. Yum. Mom asked us: "Are you dieting or something, why so many vegetables?" I thought she'd be happy for us, that's about all she cooks and eats too. I supposed she thinks our eating habits are horrible since living with her. I'm happy to be home to have my kitchen back where I know where everything is and have everything I need. Feels great to cook again.

Flip Flop Afloat
Quick trip to the craft store for some deals we couldn't refuse. Since we are in cleaning and organizing mode, we got a few very useful boxes. And picked up a few small canvases for my on-going projects.
So happy to see him back at his little table eating his meals. He wasn't too excited about us having a ton of leftovers. Can you tell? Ha, ha. He just wanted to play.
The three of us snuggled up in our bed and he watched some curious george. Baba and I completely knocked out eventually. We've been playing shows and stuff off our phones and computers instead of paying for cable/satellite. It's been working out nicely.
Back to playing for a bit until heading to Ah-gong's house.
My cousins went for a ride in the kayak, but it turned into a rescue mission. For NJ's slipper, that is. Should've known that would happen! He was putting his feet up on this rail looking over. Just as we were telling him to be careful, he drops one of his flip flops.
So ridiculous. They did a great job catching it before it went underneath the neighbor's bridge and onto the next dock. They used their paddle and a long reaching thing along with maneuvering the kayak well enough to get where they needed to. I just assumed it was gone. Good thing these things float! And thank goodness for their willingness to help.
He's all smiles now, but he was about to cry when he thought his slipper was gone. We said that it deserved thank you's and hugs to ones who fished it out of the harbor. Oh dear, so much trouble!
NJ made it in his very first putt this time, we cheered him on. Then he played with it like it was skee ball. I just sat back and watched.
I stayed in the same place while the boys went with everyone else on the boat. By the time they were back it was nearly dark and past his bedtime. The water was choppy, but they said the sunset was really nice. Good thing I stuck to my seat in the house and watched some food network. Met some new cousins today again. It seems like I'm meeting new family on every visit to dad's.

Little Thrill Seeker
NJ wasn't hesitant about any new rides today. It's a good thing since we had a chance to go on almost every one of them!
How cute, the boys walked along holding hands. Let's see how long this lasts before they think they're too old for it. Hopefully not too soon.
NJ liked trying Baba's sunglasses on.
All the weird ways we are waiting for the robotics workshop.
NJ and Baba worked together to get the robot to do tasks. Pretty cool. They were all so into it! While the moms sat together to watch.
Love how happy he looks.
The girls racing the boys. Except that the boys said they weren't racing, while the girls celebrated their victory. Silly. The boys did a pretty good job considering they're both smaller.
Uncle let the kids all make their own mini figure. This is what NJ made. This is after went back in to exchange the head. Someone pointed out that he chose a woman's head. I started calling it the bearded lady. I think that did it for him to change it. (Sorry, NJ). When he was asked why he chose that head he said, "Because I like it." He should have stuck with it, no one really cared. Maybe I shouldn't have made fun. I just thought it was funny. So his bearded woman with a top hat became a bearded man instead.
Log ride
I didn't think he was serious when he said he wanted to go on this ride, but he proved me wrong. Two other pairs of our friends had already gone. It's just an arm that flips you around in the air. You can choose the speed one through five. Five being fastest. NJ went with Auntie at level one. I thought he was so brave. They put this vest on him because he's so small. Oh man, he's so little he needs extra protection. So cute. My brave little man who likes the thrills.
He did great! Even let go of the bar and of Auntie. Yikes.
He was all smiles after and said he wanted to go again. I'm surprised he wanted to go at all!
It's Baba and Uncle's turn. Last time they did level five, but didn't get to do anything this time! The ride broke down just after the platform had retracted. Umm... They were there until two mechanics came over and they were able to extend the platform for them to get down. NJ was so concerned he got all teary eyed thinking that Baba was really stuck on there. We said he was fine and he was. We cheered as they came back down, haha.
Second time on this ride today. There they are, waving. There's a pretty big drop that he holds on to Baba for dear life. He loves the ride though. I'm surprised since I thought it was pretty fast and didn't think he'd go for it. I'm so glad he's not afraid and not afraid to try new things. We're proud of him for how adventurous he is.
Baba held him up to see some displays at the store.
We stopped together for dinner before heading back. We didn't get to do our usual Starbucks and walking the outlets since it was all closed. That's ok. Best not to have more sugar or spend money. I was so tired from being out all day. Haden't been doing much up until this. I wasn't planning to go today. I thought it was better to rest and not drag everyone down by them having to worry about me. But then I thought about how I'd just be moping at home and decided just to tag along last minute. I decided this morning. We went to get a wheelchair for me at the park. It cost $12, but it was well worth it. I had no idea that it came with a pass for any and every ride there is. What?! It's a holiday weekend and we can skip all the lines? Most of them were about an hour long, sometimes ninety minutes or more. I was thanking God. Here I was thinking I'd slow everyone down and burden them with having to push me around and wait for me as I do everything extremely slow. But actually, me having to be in a wheelchair was a blessing in a weird way. We did more than we've ever done before. We did more than ten rides. We also saw the Lego City 4D show, did the robotics workshop, and visited two or three of the shops. Crazy. I'm surprised I could get through it. Usually I'm laying down most of the day, it was hard to be sitting up the whole time. I felt better after I took one of my pills though. That stuff works! Ha, ha. I think I'll be sleeping all of tomorrow though, let's see.
