Day with Uncle

An asian/euro lunch of sandwiches and spring rolls. Mom could only eat half her sandwich and Perry was done with half of his. She stopped him to tell him to eat her remaining half and not his remaining half. I just laughed. How does that make any sense? There's still half a sandwich left, but he doesn't get to eat what he wanted. I knew I wasn't going to finish one so I got a small breakfast croissant sandwich instead (since it was still being served). I still shared a third of it with NJ.
Across the way was the toy store. Which was part of the reason for going to Lee's for a late breakfast, early lunch. NJ wanted to sound like he didn't want to go to Toys R Us, so we teased him about it the entire time.
They checked out a lot of boxes while there. Even the ones that Ah-goo's work has worked on. Pretty cool.
At home, everyone had their own build going. Including Ah-ma who bought her own set for herself. She has been infected by the Lego bug too. Baba has his own collection, Ah-ma has her own collection, and so does Ah-goo. What is going on?! Well, it was a Lego filled day since we all sat down in the other room after this to watch the Lego Movie together. After that, I really needed a nap. Later that day NJ and I still went out twice because he got me to promise him a drink. He was asking for a sweet drink during lunch and I wouldn't let him have it. So we went out for boba later, except that he didn't have boba in his drink. Then after dinner he was begging for milk and we ran out. So off to the grocery store. I could have waited until tomorrow, but it makes me happy that he still asks for milk.

A little mother-son lunch. I brought his box of stuff to see if they might use some of it. We went to get Taiwanese food. NJ and I shared some chicken and rice.
He helped me bring in the mail and quickly got into this magazine. He was quiet for a while with this.
An impromptu cleaning of the bathroom. I asked him why he was cleaning. He says, "Because I like it clean, Mama."
I guess I'm not keeping to his standards?
We went to the market because someone was begging for milk. I'm so glad he's still wanting milk. I love when he asks for milk or water instead of juice.

My smiling, happy boy!
He worked on some writing and math with Ah-ma.
And then some reading. I love it!
How cute!
Mom wanted to see if she could still carry him. I didn't think it was a good idea. He's getting much too big and heavy! They both weighed themselves just before this and he is more than half her weight already. My mom is a light weight and he is heavy. I took a picture because this will not be happening much anymore. At least I hope not otherwise Mom might hurt herself.

French Toast, Pizza, Chicken Wings

I can't remember the last time I actually made a breakfast besides cereal, yogurt, or toast! French toast for breakfast today. NJ wanted it the same as always, cut in strips that he dips into some syrup. He was excited about it and it made me happy to see him enjoy it.
Someone joked that we were representing HOPE at this pizza place, yes we were! We took up a whole section, about six tables. We had a big group, plus another family that joined us when they came just as we were sitting down. How funny. It was a big mix of us.
NJ wanted to play a game. Neither of us were very good at it, we just kept flicking the pieces at each other and missing the target. Still fun anyway.
We were on the floor so Dotty was next to me watching, trying not to get hit by a flying piece.
Not sure why he was practically doing the splits, but it made me laugh.
He worked a little on a bracelet, but he never has interest in actually finishing.
We played three games of Chutes and Ladders and he won all three.
Like father like son. Baba shared some of his chicken wings and NJ really enjoyed it. It's his first chicken wings, I think we have another fan. He kept saying, "It's so good, right Baba?"
Baba doesn't need the convincing.
