Spring Cleaning at HOPE

Washing the play food, dumping it in a bucket of clorox.
Wiping down all the chairs. They really needed it.
And cleaning up the little kitchen.
He loved it! I told him I was going to check on Ah-ma and Baba. He said he wanted to stay. The second time I went he said, "Can I come back?" He was really enjoying cleaning and helping. I was so impressed! He's a harder worker than I am!
My mom got right to work on the base boards, which she noticed right away when we got there.
Baba was outside working on the patio fence with Uncle Jason. NJ got straight to helping there too. He was handing uncle screws when he needed them and held the boards in place for them to drill. I asked him if he wanted to stay to help here or go back to cleaning toys and helping Miss Silvia. He said, "I want to do both. I like helping here, but I want to clean toys too." We stayed there a while and then went back down to help in his old toddler classroom.
Another donut break to watch baba.
Ah-ma had moved on to wiping down the pews and polishing them. She also went back around to try to get out spots on the cushions.
Downstairs in the classrooms, NJ helped take out staples from the stuff taken down off the bulletin boards.
There's mom again in the kitchen wiping it down with Debra and Rosa. That's a big job.
NJ on another break. Actually, we're about to go. He wanted to sit for a bit.
Someone is wiped out! He did such a great job helping. He enjoyed it, didn't complain, and wanted to keep at it! We're so proud to have him participate and help as part of the family and as part of our church family. I hope he'll let us nap later because we're tired too!
We went to get some of my meds that were supposed to be sent to the house and checked on the progress. The dry wall is looking better and the house is getting put back together. It seems so slow going!
Even the ceilings are back.
Our tub was moved. We didn't even know it could be moved. It's super heavy!
Our bedroom is a dirty mess.

NJ waited outside mostly, we didn't want him breathing all that dust. He posed for me since he knew I was inside taking photos.
NJ's been asking and asking to go to chuck e's. He earned it and was very excited about using up the few tokens we gave him. He found some new fun games he likes. We didn't stay long and gave him a good bath before going to bed! It's been a dirt filled day! But a good one. :)

Posing with his wind chime ready to turn in for presentation today. So excited for him! We walked to class together to put it in there first so nothing happens to it during the morning line up. He wasn't the only one dropping off their project early.
Dinner with the boys. They were having fun with their kung-fu/karate moves.
Don't breathe all over the food please, I know it looks good!
The fight poses continue, they ham it up for the camera. Ha, ha. Little C is pretending to be a ninja with his guh-guh's scarf! Too cute.
I was wondering why Dotty wasn't in her bed next to me. I know we brought her up to our room before bed and we could hear her, but not see her. She was making herself cozy in the blankets that are falling off the front of the bed. Smart girl, she wanted to make herself a nice warm bed. She was too cute and comfy to kick her off. Good thing I was bundled enough myself to not pull her right off her bed in the middle of my sleep.
