Washing the play food, dumping it in a bucket of clorox.
Wiping down all the chairs. They really needed it.
And cleaning up the little kitchen.
He loved it! I told him I was going to check on Ah-ma and Baba. He said he wanted to stay. The second time I went he said, "Can I come back?" He was really enjoying cleaning and helping. I was so impressed! He's a harder worker than I am!
My mom got right to work on the base boards, which she noticed right away when we got there.
Baba was outside working on the patio fence with Uncle Jason. NJ got straight to helping there too. He was handing uncle screws when he needed them and held the boards in place for them to drill. I asked him if he wanted to stay to help here or go back to cleaning toys and helping Miss Silvia. He said, "I want to do both. I like helping here, but I want to clean toys too." We stayed there a while and then went back down to help in his old toddler classroom.
Another donut break to watch baba.
Ah-ma had moved on to wiping down the pews and polishing them. She also went back around to try to get out spots on the cushions.
Downstairs in the classrooms, NJ helped take out staples from the stuff taken down off the bulletin boards.
There's mom again in the kitchen wiping it down with Debra and Rosa. That's a big job.
NJ on another break. Actually, we're about to go. He wanted to sit for a bit.
Someone is wiped out! He did such a great job helping. He enjoyed it, didn't complain, and wanted to keep at it! We're so proud to have him participate and help as part of the family and as part of our church family. I hope he'll let us nap later because we're tired too!
