What a mess. And it's super dusty. We went through some of our stuff today to clean and organize. I went through a lot of my craft stuff. I have way too much!
NJ and three of his classmates had fun sliding into each other, Baba as the stopper.
I don't know why he doesn't actually get on, he just likes to swing from the outside and flies off. He's laughing every time so I know he's fine.
Now that every piece of his project is painted, it's time to drill holes into the hanger. Baba let him press the button. He was so excited and proud to do some drilling for the first time!
Here he is showing it off.
We brought all of it outside to put some varnish or clear coat on them. I dug some out from my overload of art and craft stuff. So glad we didn't have to buy a single thing for this project!
He got to do a little bit of spraying. Not much though, I'm sure the spray is not the best stuff for him to be handling. We made him run in to wash his hands right away. He really enjoyed this part too.
The boys played with their legos while the hanger, jar, and keys dried.
Baba strung it together before and after dinner. After, we sat to help him practice his presentation. He need to practice talking about each recycled item, what it was used for before, how it was made, and speaking loudly. And unprompted he asked us, "So who has some questions? Anybody?" He looked around at me, Baba, and Ah-gong (my dad came to join us for dinner). Grandpa seemed impressed and we all laughed. I raised my hand first to ask him what he liked most about it. Hopefully he'll remember everything that we went through tonight. I really like this wind chime, can't wait to actually put it up.
We stopped by the house again after NJ went to bed to see the progress and double check that everything was locked. Our walls and ceilings are slowly coming back.
