What a fun birthday party at the park! Yay for first birthdays, adorable one year olds, hospitable friends, bubbles, balloons, food, and cake! Thank you Auntie and Uncle, NJ had a blast. :)
NJ wasn't feeling well a couple days ago so we didn't want him to over do it. Plus the stroller offers storage! I can't remember the last time we used it, he's super heavy in it. I was so out of breath just going a short distance!
All the legos and mega blocks you can play with and the kids wanted to walk it like a balance beam and jump around.
Two boys down for the night. Poor guys.

I found these today that I've been keeping since high school. I still have a ton of the flowers that I used to make with these pom poms. These are the package labels to all the pom poms and pipe cleaners I collected. Just as I started taking photos (before they go in the trash), Dotty walks through and messes with my neatness. I just laughed, it's cute that she's so curious.
NJ came home from school and finished the little bit of his lunch that was left. Finally, a boy in a good mood after school! I almost forgot what that was like. I knew he'd feel better and my sweet boy would be sweet and loving again.
Him and his puzzles.
I was impressed with the ramps and track that he was creating. Dotty of coarse is always trying to find a spot on the rug to sit on.
First rain of the season. NJ was pretty excited about it. He kept talking about how there were millions of drops on the window, on the car, and everywhere. It's funny that his new thing is to say a million about everything. Recently he had started saying thousands for everything. Before that it was hundreds. I'm glad he's moving up.

Looks like this guy is the one that needs the coffee this morning. He had a hard time getting out of bed and said his tummy hurt too. We couldn't get him to eat breakfast, which is really out of the ordinary. He's more than happy to eat usually.
Just because NJ's at school most of the day, doesn't mean nothing interesting happens at home.

Diligently doing his homework. I'm happy he enjoys it and willingly does it.
Practicing with more chess games together. Baba has to explain things less, instead they are talking more about moves.
NJ said during the game, "Baba, let's kill each other." (as they discussed chess moves)
I noticed in the last couple of days that he's been washing his hands like a surgeon. Maybe he learned it from school. Maybe he gets marker all of over his hands and arms and he feels like he needs to wash it off. I'm not sure, but it makes me laugh.
