While NJ was at Ah-ma's we worked all day to clean the house and the outside. We used the barbecue finally since moving. It took a lot of cleaning though to cook on it.
We borrowed chairs from church and setup all our tables with some table cloths. We brought out the lights and it all looked surprisingly nice. Maybe this is what we needed to start making better use of our yard.
All the tin planters I painted came in handy. We had enough for two for each table.
We couldn't have gotten everything ready without the help of our amazing friend. She came early without us even asking her. She brought lights, helped us set up, clean up, and washed every last dish.   We're so thankful for loving selfless friends.
Progressive dinner main course was a success! We didn't make it to the appetizer or dessert, but we enjoyed ourselves and loved having everyone here.

Morning assembly and the kindergardeners are performing some patriotic songs. They sang God Bless America, Yankee Doodle, Grand Old Flag, and I can't remember what else. It was really cute though.
His class did another performance in the classroom. All of us parents got front row seats to watch them sing.
We got to the dojo early. Baba helped with setting up the mats. NJ and I set up the folding chairs.
NJ in throwing action.
Visiting Ah-ma and all the toys she has at her place.

Trying his presidents puzzle. He wanted to finish it, but it was time to go to school.
I walk in his room sometimes during the day to put stuff away or clean. Sometimes I laugh at the stuff he does.
NJ fished out out one of his old medals and put it on Emmett.
I found another bookcase for him that matches his room. Now his other shelf is useful for his clothes in his closet. Somehow we always seem to get dark furniture. But that's what's free or cheap.
He finished the Presidents puzzle. It's a great puzzle and activity. I helped him by naming the presidents by number. The faces are a bit strange looking, but we get to learn the presidents and when they were president.

So sweet, we spent half the day together. It made me miss having a little one around. I miss when NJ was this age. I really enjoyed my time babysitting.
NJ played outside for a while until going to judo. When he came back, baby was gone and he was sad he didn't get to say goodbye.
He really liked looking through the market add.
He was very intent on looking at what he likes and wants. He excitedly told me what was on sale and how much it was.

Homework after school and before soccer.
So cute and having so much fun. :)
Mom brought some potting soil and a pot to help us with the plants over growing the small pots.
She also brought us a blueberry bush.
Baba dug some holes.
NJ filled them. Now we have even more succulents planted and a blueberry plant.

Baba put casters on this trunk/chest too. We successfully transferred his trains from the wooden one upstairs to this one. We even made use of two baskets that used to store his cars. And it all still fits which is perfect!

He had two boxes full of stuffed animals from the move. I let him pick out a few to put in his wooden chest.

Yay, they fit great! The rest will be consolidated to one box that we'll store for now. He has too many!

We also gave him a new jar to keep his coins in and his money that he wants to keep. The rest he can keep in his wallet.

Some play time out side.

Baba is putting on some triangles so we can string the sign I painted and hang it on the door.
I tried to match the blue of the chairs. It's been nice to fix things up, clean, and organize. Excited about more projects!
