NJ's very excited about having some leftover hong kong style waffle for breakfast. I thought he wasn't going to share it with me, but he did. :)

He's helping to clean up before guests come over. There's always the most crumbs on his side of table. He did a good job. I went over it by mopping too.

Silly boys!
A game of snakes and ladders.
Got a visit from Yumiko who brought us some food. NJ was excited to see that it was chicken, tofu, and lima beans. Ha, ha, he's so asian. It was nice to sit and talk with her and good to see her. It's still hard to talk about Japan. She and her husband are leading the team this year again to Ishinomaki. I'm happy to have gotten to know them and it'll be great to go back once they've made their move there too. Baba was out helping our friends move some boxes.

I sat with NJ as he did his writing homework. He likes the company of someone sitting with him.

Love all the things he chooses to write about. Great memories of what's going on that we can look back at. So proud of him for his great writing.

Reading his Magic Tree House Pirates book.

NJ wanted to make a bracelet for Auntie Suzy.
He loves his fruit. Silly guy, I can't even remember what he was telling me about, but he was very adamant I'm sure.

Auntie Suzy's back! NJ was excited to show her his yearbook. He talked about her teacher, friends, and classmates.

Auntie Suzy brought Dot a little surprise. She hasn't had a stuffed chew toy in forever. With a squeaker no less! Let the destruction begin. She always goes for the squeaker to remove it first, then the stuffing and any limbs, ears, eyes... Poor otter. Dot was quite angry at it.

I was sad not to go to the strawberry festival with our friends. We've been wanting to go every year, but every year we miss it! It would have been too much of a crowded place, a lot of walking, and being in the sun. I would have been the biggest party pooper and probably have to sit somewhere and wait while everyone walks around. And I didn't want to make Baba drive us when he's so tired of all the driving and just plain tired from so much going on. Hopefully next year! Our friends brought a case of strawberries back for us though which was so kind and thoughtful (thanks O's)! Still stuck at home, another friend dropped by to say a quick hello. At least the boys could go to church together this morning.
