love this smile!

it makes us both smile every time.

first training seat test

no success, but our goal was to try while getting him used to it and without traumatizing him. so in that way, it was! if anyone has any tips, feel free to share! if you're comfortable sharing, that is. ha, ha...

off to the park!

so many fun things to do!

what's on sale?

oh, it's me! ha, ha, mama!

i see you eyeing my cracker...

can't have it!

spaghetti cramming

no, it's not a contest, but he was scarfing it down like it was his last meal. and watching him try to cram his mouth one noodle at a time was hilarious!

after dinner hair

guess who's getting a nice clean bath? why he finds the need to run his food filled dirty or greasy hands through his hair is a mystery to me. but he does it consistently now and it drives me crazy. it's bad enough that he's running around all day with wet, sweaty hair. eeeeww, such a boy!

tv?

just 5 minutes of ni-hao kai-lan and he was enthralled. we never let him watch anything, but there was still time between his bath and bedtime routine. so i really needed to sit for a minute to breathe! it was cute, actually, he'd point and call out anything he recognized and could say.

come in, mama!

with auntie already in the pool, he went right over and stepped in by himself. looking promising...

relaxing in the pool

it took a while, but finally! he's in. at first he looked worried with his feet curled up and kept pointing toward the stairs saying, "out". after a while, he relaxed, started to splash, play, and smile. yay! a summer success!

e.t. or jawa, hmm...

am i in trouble?

i had to go change and this is what i come back to. nj has dug through his bags looking for snacks. and yes, he found crackers! if i took any longer, the package would have been opened.

my boys in the sand

fun in the sand

don't fall in!

hey, you buried me, baba!

he managed to get his legs out. he may be chunky, but he's strong.

yum, yum, rhino...

sheep, zebra, bear, gorilla, hippo, and koala! most animals (of the animal crackers) were quite hard to for him to say, but he tried.
