"More cereal please!"

I guess he likes Honey Nut Cheerios! He had a couple big bowls full.

Walk to the Ocean

We took a short walk to the water. It was chilly, but we all had our warm sweaters on. We couldn't walk along the sand because the waves and tide were high.

NJ did not like the feeling of sand in his slippers, so he took them off to brush off his feet. On the way back, he tip-toed all the way which took what felt like forever. Oh dear. Auntie called him high maintenance, I have to agree!

Birthday Sprinkles

We had an early little celebratory cupcake eating for Auntie Becca's birthday. Yum.

Pooh and Cheez-its

So cute, the three of them crowded around Uncle Dan's laptop watching Winnie the Pooh, munching on some Cheezy snackies.

Wearing the Lincoln hat and beard, he belted out the song On Solid Rock I Stand (I think that's the title).

"Why you change it?"

I replaced two photos to hang these hearts he made (on the wall behind him). He immediately noticed and whined about wanting to put the pictures back. Clearly he didn't nap today because when I said we were having chicken he said he wanted beef, when I said we're having carrots he said he wanted corn. No whining about the rice or tofu, though thank goodness.

"We going to school?"

First day of a mommy and me class. It was great to watch him play, explore, and have fun. He enjoyed swaying and clapping to music, cutting with scissors, squeezing paint, building train tracks, and eating snacks. For me it was making sure he was sharing, not sitting next to any sneezing, coughing kids, clapping, singing, getting up, sitting down, walk in a circle, cutting, gluing, squeezing paint- but not too much, get some snacks, clean-up, put away chairs... I left the house at 11:45am and didn't get home until 4:20pm. I only wish I had the energy to enjoy it even more rather than having the looming feeling of tiredness. This was my fear, but I hope it's just something I'll get used to. It's definitely great for him to socialize, learn, and play.

"I want to go to church."

He was up a little earlier today and knew we were going to church. Breakfast was quick, just cereal and he was all dressed and ready. He waited as me and Baba got ready. He kept coming to our door and saying, "Why we not going to church? I want to go to church. I want to... I want to go..." We were taking too long, I guess.

After the service, Baba brought him up from his class and he was with Gaby sharing his blueberry muffin with her. Aww, how sweet. It was nice to be at HOPE on our anniversary, especially since we got married there. :)
