Boat Parade

Finishing up our ornaments for the ornament exchange we're doing again this year. So fun! I love how they turned out.
Boat parade at Ah-gong's. Nathan had fun and I think he must've eaten about two platefuls of california rolls. He didn't eat much else. It was a nice night and it wasn't too cold. We left with so much loot, Dad gave us a whole package of Hawaiian bread, a box of tangerines, and a container of cherry tomatoes. The parade was early so we still went home early enough to rest for tomorrow.

Baking Ornaments

Dot's nails are overdue for a cut. She always looks so funny sitting up.
Especially now that it's chilly we are drinking more warm coffees and teas. Baba is refilling and reusing our pods.
Baking some ornaments, they're like non-edible cookies!
We're all helping to paint and Baba is varnishing when we're done. So fun!
So far so good, the second batch was better, less puffy. I might want to do this every year. I'm not sure why we've never tried this, it was so easy and fun!

Chick Fil A for breakfast! It's open, yay! And so close to us. Some of the places we miss from our old place is following us here. Recently an 85c also opened close to us too. We were so surprised. We ran into NJ's classmate's mom here too and we talked for a bit. That was nice, we don't have much chance to talk normally.

My mom brought this blanket back from Taiwan. It's the softest fluffiest blanket. It's for NJ but I stole it because he doesn't like huge warm blankets, he kicks them off no matter how cold. He seemed to like it too but didn't want to try it.
NJ was happy about the pasta we made for dinner.
But not as happy about his pb&j cookie for dessert.
I asked him for help stamping some envelopes for the Christmas cards.

He drew this in Sunday school. On the back he wrote: I am sad (crossed out) happy.
We were confused until he said, "I'm not sad, I'm happy. So it's crossed out."
NJ was happy to help with the cookies. I labeled them in case anyone is allergic.
Mmm... hot chocolate! NJ had three cups by the end of the night. He also went back several times for popcorn. He had a hot dog, nachos, and plenty of cookies. Yikes. There were lots of seats, fire pits, and live music playing. It was really nice, not too cold, and nice to sit and talk to others.
