Enjoying snacks at Ah-ma's house. We had a quick little gathering with Ah-ma (grandma) and her sisters, Mama's cousin, and NJ's second cousin. We spend most of our time either waiting for the boys to finish their snacks or watching the guava picking in the front yard.
Watching some Charlie Brown with some friends. I should bring out the DVD's we have of Charlie Brown. Seeing it reminds me of my brother and when we used to watch it when we were little.
NJ running up and down our old driveway. Ha, ha. When we lived here he wasn't even walking yet. Such memories this place holds.
We went to visit our old neighbor (who was the best neighbor) and his fun loving doggies. They are as energetic, friendly, and playful as ever! I miss seeing them. NJ was excited to see the dogs, but got a little nervous seeing how huge and excited they were. Their excitement was overwhelming. They are so sweet, though.
It's Thor (who can hardly see out of his helmet)!
Wow! More puzzles, yay!

"Whoo, that was hard work!"

NJ helped me whisk the eggs for some french toast this morning. He did a good job. When he was done he said, "Whoo, that was hard work!" Really? Whisking some eggs for a few seconds?
I tried to make it fun by letting him dip the french toast in a little bit of syrup. It was a treat to have syrup! I gave him the last of the milk with his breakfast. I said we need to go get milk and he tells me, "I want to go to Sam's club so we can get fruit and veggies and it will make our tummies feel good. Can we do that?"
NJ's been asking and asking to open this stamps set. I got some paper out for him to stamp away. He asked me, "Who gave this to me?" I told him it was his friends Calvin and Olivia. Then he tells me, "For my birthday? Aww, but I want them to have this for their birthday too!" Haven't heard that before,  he loves it so much he wants them to share in it too, I guess.
We made some post cards that I thought turned out kinda cool.
During breakfast and stamping he had so many questions... "Why is it raining today again? Why sometimes it rain and sometimes there's no rain? Why God created rain and sun and clouds?"
"Why do you have to tie the boat? Does a boat have brakes? How does it stop? Does a plane have a engine? Where is it?"
Acuara Ah-ma came over with some groceries. How nice! She stayed for lunch and tried her hand at building some track.
Toyota Ah-ma and Gong-gong came over for dinner. The three of them did a four foot hundred piece puzzle together. NJ did a great job finding pieces.

Excited for school today. Tonight he was asking, "Why there's no school tomorrow? I very want to go to school tomorrow too." I'm glad he enjoys it that much.
This is about all I got done today. I wish I wasn't feeling so sluggish still. I made NJ an advent calendar of sorts, a count down to Christmas. I wanted to put verses on the back about Christmas, but I could only find so many. So I'm thinking I'll ask him something he's thankful for and write it on the back for ever day. I didn't think he'd notice, but he asked me before bed, "Where's all the pictures?" The same day the Christmas tree went up, we got an early Christmas gift for NJ that we put under the tree. NJ immediately asked, "Is that for me? Can I open it?" We said he had to wait until Christmas to open it. He's been asking everyday since, "Is today Christmas? Can I open my present? Is tomorrow Christmas?" Oh my goodness! I can't do this all the way until the 25th, it's not even December yet! Hopefully this will help. This is totally new to me, he hasn't been so aware as he is this year.
After picking him up from school we went to grab a quick bite. In line NJ asked, "Can we eat here? Just for one (holds up his pointer finger) hour?" I thought he was going to say minute! We laughed. I guess he was pretty hungry.

"Can I hold your hand?"

NJ did a great job at his yearly check up. The nurse said he was very cooperative and good for his age. He was a little nervous about some stuff, but the talk we had with him on the way there helped. He was due for two shots, plus a flu shot. We were so proud, he didn't cry or whine. When it was time for shots he asked Baba, "Can I hold your hand?" The doctor said he's more social than before and did a good job answering her questions and doing what she asked. He made us proud. And more importantly, he's nice and healthy.

Picture Puzzle

What a special surprise from Ah-goo and Ah-gim (Uncle and Auntie). They know how much he likes puzzles and made a custom one for him! He did it easily by himself, when I tried to help he'd move my hand out of the way. It was funny to hear him say, "Where's Ah-goo's face?" as he looked for pieces.

"Can I have some spam-ma-soo-gee?"

NJ already had lunch but he still wanted some of Baba's "spam-ma-soo-gee."
Uncle Dan and Auntie Becca came for lunch and brought a gift for him to open. They thought he needed a girl to join all his boy trains. This one's Emily.
We brought out his wooden tracks to join his plastic ones. With the help of Auntie, the experience track builder, the two of them built an elaborate connecting track. He didn't want to stop playing.
