happy mother's day grandmas!

disker

i gave him a sticker book today (thanks, ellen!) and he really liked it. he really likes stickers and pronounces it disker. i don't know why since he seems to repeat anything we say fine. oh well, it's cute.

helping ah-gong

dad went to the backyard and started picking weeds. nj stuck with his grandpa and helped by putting them in the trash. i tried to get him to stop pulling weeds, but he said he enjoys it and it's good for nj to see and learn about chores and work. that was nice and made me think.

blue train, red train

i went to check on nj and found him taking trains out of the box. the box was on the table top, he climbed onto the stool and got it down himself. strong boy! and how did he manage to keep it steady without it spilling everywhere? there's some of his cars and trucks in it, but also two zip locks full of trains. we hadn't given them to him yet (i was kind of avoiding it), but he helped himself! too late now, can't withhold them anymore. he calls them blue train and red train, instead of thomas and the actual names (whatever they are).

play-do!

pointing up to the shelf, he repeated: "want that". he says that a lot lately whenever he wants something. usually pointing at something or looking at us when we're eating something. i asked him what he wanted by pointing to each toy that was high up. surprisingly, he said yes to play-do. i've never let him play with play-do before, i don't know how he would know to want it. but i sat with him to play with it, he asked for the blue color.

feeling a little under the weather...

we gave him a little medicine for his fever and he must've liked it because he kept asking for more. he repeated: "medicine, medicine..." even in taiwanese. it was hard to explain to him that medicine was something you only take a little bit of at a time. otherwise he'd overdose!

mini cooper at apartment

that's what he'd say if he couldn't find it. but today, he got his mini cooper back, it was in the car.

new shoes!

sandals more like. he got two pairs, great for the summer. :) baba said he needs some knee high black socks to go with them.

mama? mama!

everyday he says, "mama's tired" at least twice. he knows. i'm usually sitting or lying down. and i say, "yes, mama's tired".

i see you!

this morning he said, "baba squeeze mama's arm"

as i got my morning shot. ha, ha. he's saying more and more sentences, most of them with taiwanese. i love his taiwanese, it's so cute.
