thumbs up

well, he tried!

what, baba?

don't bite the straw! (look at those lips, hee, hee)

wave to the neighbors!

we went for a walk after dinner and stopped to talk to a couple neighbors. i kept asking him to wave hi or bye, but he'd do it after they already turned away. and he even pointed one time- i got down to whisper to him: you can't point, be polite and wave. so he did and they waved back. after that he waved at everybody, even people driving by! made me smile and laugh.

fork

he had nectarine and bagel for breakfast. i gave him the fork to eat the nectarine, but didn't for the bagel. he just looked at the pieces and looked at me. pointing at the counter, he asked for the fork. he loves using forks, spoons, and chopsticks!

hug, mama

this morning, he took my hand to lead me. i waited for him to show me something. instead, he led me to a little stool and pointed for me to sit. when i sat down, he gave me a big hug and held on to me. awww, he just wanted a hug!

lion

nj took his lion back pack out of the dresser and said, "bear". i said, "not bear, lion." so he picked up his other lion and sat them together. good job! he also kept pointing at the lion and saying something I couldn't understand. then he pointed at the back pack's buckle and his booster seat buckle. oh! "buckle". he smiles.

socks, mama!

i have socks that i wear around the house and take them off when i leave. nj knows i always put them back on when i get home. today, as we walked in the door he brought them to me and even tried to put them on my feet! what a sweetie.

hooooonk! quack, quack...

we walked among the big geese as they made their way across the path. they were quite loud and nj started to copy them. silly boy, made me laugh. the rest of the park had ducks. every time he saw one he'd say, "quack, quack". we stopped to watch one as it bathed in the pond and he pretended to splash, just like the duck flapped it's wings.

don't be creepy

just for you, auntie karen! here he is at the park, on the bench after we took a walk. he loves to sit with his snacks and watch people.

hey, what's that lady doing?

we sat at the exercise equipment and he watched a lady using one of them.

what is this, baba?

hmm... who got dressed first?

my trucks??

yay! thank you aunties and uncles for the gifts, he love trucks! he wouldn't even let go of it as i put him in his booster seat. and since we don't let him play with toys while sitting in it, i had to pry it from his strong little fingers!

i know where baba is!

any time he hears us, he says: "mama" or "baba" and looks for us. he's got pretty good ears to hear us open the door or walking within the house.

cone... ahm, ahm!

this little guy ate more than i did! lots of noodles, broccoli, string beans, buns, lychee, and ice cream cone (minus the ice cream). he was quite the entertainment as we watched him eat. he even used chopsticks to eat his mien-mien. and his cousin, offered him a whole bowl of lychee. he touched almost every one before picking one, maybe he had a hard time choosing, we can only guess. we had to tell him: just touch one, pick it up and eat it! i lost count with how many he ended up eating.

run, run, run!

good thing we were in a separate part of the restaurant because the kids ran around, back and forth. surprisingly, nj kept up for the most part with the help of his cousins helping to lead him and steer him. it made us so happy to see him running and playing so well with his older second cousins. so cute! no creepy staring...

some of nj's second cousins!

also his fun playmates! thank you for playing so nicely with nj and being so good to him.

who has a fat lip?

poor guy was running and tripped, fell, and cut his lip. i knew not to let him take off with the straw cup, but he was holding it in his hands until running back to us, he had it in his mouth. but he's a tough guy, he's fine.

little music leader

nj brought out his turtle instruments, and shared them with uncle and auntie. ah-goo had the maraca, auntie lisa had the castanet, and he had the tambourine and drum. he'd press the button on the drum to play music for everyone to play to. the songs were short, so ah-goo told him to use his foot and he tried. ha, ha!

love my ah-goo and ah-gim!

thank you uncle perry and auntie karen for spending the extra time with me, i had lots of fun entertaining you! hope it's not too long until i see you again...
