On my way home I find the cutest little friends! I really wanted them, but I'm not a kid anymore and I don't have a girl to give them to. So cute, Roxie the Doxie and her beau-friend.
My lunch and dinner, no time to eat in Detroit or Dallas. I think they felt bad for me because I got two bags of pretzels plus cookies. I also ate some of the contents of my wedding welcome bag.
I did get some coffee in Detroit. They had a light-show tunnel with interesting music. The foreigners seemed to like it.
Got back late, but still went to eat at Carrow's with a friend. That was really nice. Even though I was tired and wanted to crash, I also wanted a meal! It gave me extra time to spend with a close friend too.
On this trip I thought about the last time I was on a plane, back at the beginning of the madness. I got on a plane by myself, cutting the visit to my brother short because I was too sick to continue. My mom picked me up to go straight to the emergency while my poor husband drove sixteen hours straight with NJ to get home to me. We still need a make-up trip to Oregon. It's just strange to think that it wasn't that long ago and the significant change to now. I got on a plane to see my longest friend from childhood get married. I'm well enough to do it on my own and enjoy some time to myself. I almost can't believe it.
