On my way home I find the cutest little friends! I really wanted them, but I'm not a kid anymore and I don't have a girl to give them to. So cute, Roxie the Doxie and her beau-friend.
My lunch and dinner, no time to eat in Detroit or Dallas. I think they felt bad for me because I got two bags of pretzels plus cookies. I also ate some of the contents of my wedding welcome bag.
I did get some coffee in Detroit. They had a light-show tunnel with interesting music. The foreigners seemed to like it.
Got back late, but still went to eat at Carrow's with a friend. That was really nice. Even though I was tired and wanted to crash, I also wanted a meal! It gave me extra time to spend with a close friend too.
On this trip I thought about the last time I was on a plane, back at the beginning of the madness. I got on a plane by myself, cutting the visit to my brother short because I was too sick to continue. My mom picked me up to go straight to the emergency while my poor husband drove sixteen hours straight with NJ to get home to me. We still need a make-up trip to Oregon. It's just strange to think that it wasn't that long ago and the significant change to now. I got on a plane to see my longest friend from childhood get married. I'm well enough to do it on my own and enjoy some time to myself. I almost can't believe it.

The wedding day is here!

The weather was perfect, not hot, not cold. And the water wasn't freezing like it is here (in CA), it was nice. My roommate and I walked the beach after breakfast. I could have done that all day, I loved it.

There were lots of pretty shells, I picked one up for NJ.

Walking under the pier, it was a cool looking structure from underneath.

A random dead fish. So strange.

Such pretty little cupcakes, almost too pretty to eat. By the end of the night, I tried all three! But we all decided that three minis equal one regular, so it's ok.

The wedding was so simple in the greatest way! The bride was stunning, the location was beautiful, and what's better than two people in love committing their lives to each other? I love weddings! Almost as much as I love babies! Maybe that's why I enjoy designing for those occasions the most. I'm so happy I could come and be a part of this amazing celebration!

NJ having a great time with Auntie Becca back at home. They took a little trip to Trader Joe's and he got to pick out his own snacks, what a lucky kid!

Good morning, Myrtle Beach! My beautiful hotel view that I woke up to.

I got a sneak peak at the wedding and reception location. A beautiful southern plantation house.

Got my nails done with the bride and her sister. Ooh, pretty... I'm not used to it! The last time I did my nails was for my own wedding (over seven years ago!). They had a cocktail hour hotel reception. Here I am with the only tall glass out of everyone, it's to say I'm non-alcoholic. I felt like a kid, I was the only one drinking punch! Story of my life.

Rehearsal dinner... Again I felt like a little kid. The portions were huge and everyone complimented me on how well I did. I got a lot of "good job" and "wow, you did good".  Ha, ha, is it that obvious I don't eat much that even people who hardly know me cheer me on to eat?

I felt so blessed to be able to spend time with the bride to be and her family. They didn't have to include me in anything, yet I got to tag along. Thank you, Evin!

Meanwhile at home, NJ was having lots of fun with Baba! It was so sweet to be getting texts of these pictures of my baby! Glad they have some bonding time.

I'll miss you!

Bye, baby... be a good boy while I'm gone.
First stop, Dallas Fort Worth. They have a cool skyline that's fast. Thank goodness I didn't have to walk from one end of the airport to the other.
Catching up on some reading. I love this week's chapter... Humble Confidence.
Second stop, Atlanta. Never been, I couldn't find a sign that said Atlanta anywhere. I wanted to take a photo, oh well.
Finally at my destination, South Carolina... my home sweet home for the night (and weekend).

"I want to make sure nothing happens to you"

Target run, so much fun!
NJ asked to go in the pool after school. We were sitting around sweating, so why not? But the water was so cold! We didn't stay in for long.
Poor Dot Dot trying to squeeze in to a comfy place amongst the cars. She caught a lizard today in the house and put it by the door. I was wondering why she was digging at a corner of the house, growling, barking, whining, and trying to move everything out of her way with her nose. Then later, Baba found it at the door. A dead lizard in front of the door... it had to be Dotty! Good job Dotty for protecting the house from critters.
Peas as an ice cream topping? Sure, why not?! Silly baby.
Look at that smile, can you tell he's just had some ice cream with oreo crumbles?
And how about this pirate smile? Even better! It was really nice to hang out with two of NJ's favorite play mates again.

When I had a talk to him tonight about me going on a trip, he said: "Can I come too? I want to go with you so that nothing will happen to you." That totally melted my heart! He's concerned for me, what a sweet heart! I told him that he couldn't come. He said again, "I want to go with you because I don't want anything to happen to you. I want to be with you." I wish he could come with me!

We had lunch with Ah-gong (grandpa), who brought a bunch of his favorite foods. He really knows what he eats. That was nice.

Good Morning HOPE!
Boys and their games.
Requirements for popsicle eating: hold it with a tissue, eat it outside, and take off your shirt. He already got punch on his shirt, it didn't need to be any more colorful. Especially since it was new from his cousin. Plus it was so warm out today, we're back in the 90's after a short period of gloom.
The happy chocolate eater... given to him by Ah-ma (grandma). We stopped by to visit and spontaneously went out to dinner. Poor guy was so tired by the time we got home. Another packed day... church, lunch, a few house visits, and dinner. Good thing we can sleep in tomorrow.
