That's what it sounded like anyway... translation: "It's wobbly!"

Nightly Egg Hunt

NJ is still playing with the eggs he got from all the Easter parties. They are strewn all over the house, somehow they end up everywhere. He dumps it out every morning and throughout the day, they get kicked, run over, and carried from room to room. By the end of the day, I ask him to, "Put your eggs in the basket." And he says, "Help me, please!" They are under tables, chairs, couches, by shoes, in his trucks and lunch boxes... After he goes to sleep I still find random ones. One of these nights I might just have to put them away for next year, but I'm a little worried about how he'll react once he knows they're suddenly missing.

"Ah-goo's plant!"

Uncle Perry planted this in kindergarten I think and it's still growing! NJ calls it Ah-goo's (uncle's) plant. I hope when he plants something, we can keep it alive just like this one!

On our visit I actually said the words, "Hey, don't run with scissors!" Never thought that I'd say it and it came out without even thinking.

"It's for my friends."

I asked him why he had the eggs lined up in front of the chairs. He said, "They're for my friends!" (But he said it more like: por my priends!)

"The monkey is peeing on the pencil..."

Interesting observation... It's a monkey pencil topper that looks like it's sitting on the pencil.

Car cut-outs from yesterday.

He didn't want to draw for some reason, so I drew for him to cut them out and glue them. I kinda messed up on the trike, though!

He insisted on using his chopsticks even though we were having finger food. He likes eating plain soft tofu like me! Something I used to share with my dad. :)

"But I want to weed now!"

During breakfast:

NJ- "Can we weed again?"

M- "If you want to, finish your breakfast first."

NJ- "But I want to weed now!"

After breakfast as I'm folding laundry:

NJ- "Mama, you want to play train with me?"

M- "After I'm done with this. I thought you wanted to weed. You want to weed or play?"

NJ- "Weed!"

He picked five lemons and was over it fast. He complained, "But it's wet." It rained yesterday. But that's when I like picking them because they're nice and clean, no dirt, ants, or bees.

"We need that orange stuff because to put in the peanut butter jelly bread."

"Hands up!"

Mmm... gummies.

NJ saw me use the last of the marmalade this morning for pb&j's and insisted we get more.

"I'll get it!"

He wanted to get the mail with me, but once I filled his arms he said, "No, I don't want to. It's heavy." It's not heavy! This is his unhappy face walking to the door with the mail falling all over. It was windy, I had to chase a few. Getting the mail should not be this hard!

"I want to cut the cars."

NJ picked out pieces of mail to cut out pictures of cars to glue into his notebook.

Road to the Hospital

"I like the boat!"

For weeks I've been meaning to visit and today we finally spent some time with ah-gong (grandpa). All the way to his house, he must've asked ten times: "Where's Ah-gong's house?"

"Is it here?"

"You have to turn right, because it's over there..."

NJ was so excited about a boat ride, running through his house to the back. He even got to drive. After a cruise around the harbor, we grazed his refrigerator for lunch. So much excitement that he fell asleep on the way home.

"Don't give me bones because like I might choke or something..."

NJ was referring to the fish that he and baba shared for dinner. He was also saying too-foh instead of tofu which he shared with me.

"I like the libury"

"I want to make lemon juice!"

Zoo

C: I'm as tall as a flamingo!

NJ: I'm as tall as a macaw! (head to tail)

Carousel ride... He chose the horse next to baby who was on an ostrich, and guh-guh (big brother) was on a tiger. NJ made a full run around before choosing one. At first he wanted to sit on the bench, but I wasn't about to go on a carousel to sit on a bench!

Photographer in the making

NJ loves his toy camera he got yesterday and carried it the whole day taking photos of everything. Too bad I can't see any of these, since they're not real. It makes a sound when you press the button, though so he thinks they are. He was telling us to, "Look here and smile!" Other related things he was saying today:

"Look here, Dotty!"

"This camera 16 dollars! It's on the tag!" (not really, I don't know where he came up with that)

"I want to take picture you cleaning."

"I want to take picture because you weeding."

He sees us taking photos of everything, so he was doing the same. :)

More weeds... poor NJ got two thorns in the same finger. We got them out and thankfully it wasn't anything dramatic.

Easter Sunday!
