"But I very want to go to the park!"

NJ asked for cereal for breakfast, but when he saw me making eggs he wanted some too. We had eggs with leftover potatoes, yum.
His trains were left out after an after dinner play date. He looks like I caught him doing something.
It was really warm and I had to put sunblock on him, but he really wanted to play at the park again.
Baba took a break from work to help NJ build track number six.
NJ helped me with making dinner. He crushed some cereal for some oven "fried" chicken.

"What are we doing today?"

A little trip to our usual store. He was patient with me so I let him look at some cars and trains.
A visit to the park. NJ was excited about it and asked to come to this park in particular. I watched him play as I sat on a bench and listened to a message on an app. I tried to keep listening as he asked me to push him on the swing and then swing with him, but I had to replay some of it. I should do this more often!
A healthy lunch.
Some crazy popcorn eating skills. He was a little too excited. He'd take two handfuls of popcorn and cram it in his mouth while chomping. He said he was eating like cookie monster and that's what it looked and sounded like!
A game of memory. Actually it was three!
A couple loads of laundry.
A little bike riding and car trouble supervising. My car has not been starting in the last I don't know how many days. I've been driving our big old truck instead. But now it's fixed, just needed a new battery. Baba took care of it for me!

My Loves

Heart shaped peanut butter chip pancakes for breakfast. A favorite of both boys.
My dinner dates... my two favorite boys.
The boys cleaned their plates for a special surprise dessert treat.
NJ had a Valentine's party in class today and got lots of goodies. He said they made banana split ice cream sundaes. Sounds like a great party!

"We have to go to the post office so our friends can get the card?"

"Mmm... yum I dipped a raisin in ketchup and it was so good!" (Eeew!)
Making some Valentine's cards together. I cut out hearts from some old book pages and he cut strips of ribbon. We both glued them on. I did some stamping and he drew on the backs.
I love that we can do crafts together, it's fun! He started getting impatient though when I wrote the to's and from's, a short message, and addresses. We finally left in time to send them, hopefully the cards will make it tomorrow, we'll see!
Someone's excited to get out of the house and go to the post office with Mama. He was very concerned about making it to the post office and antsy about going out. He kept talking about how much he wanted our friends to get their cards. I wish we could have made and sent so many more! I need to start earlier next year. (I say this every year about Christmas and birthdays too, but never happens!)

Ouch Report

We got an "Ouch Report" from school today, it was cute and very informative. The exact description: he was running to his bed and tripped and fell onto another bed. He burned his face from the material. There was the date, time, witnessed by, treatment, and signed by the teacher. Wow! She also talked to me about it right after NJ ran up to me to tell me when I got there to pick him up. He's a tough guy though, he didn't cry. Yay! He does have a red mark on his face, but I'm sure it'll go away in no time. We also got a surprise visit just before his bedtime. The boys played and then watched something together while us mommies talked and munched on cookies. Mmmm...

"I love it when you're baking and making!"

Trip to the store for more baking ingredients. Not snacks! He really wanted some chips. He insisted on carrying the basket which was fine until I needed to put the package of sugar in. I convinced him to let me carry at least one handle. Tough guy.
"Can I have a cookie pleeeeeease?"
I hadn't even baked them yet! This is face when I told him to be patient.
Finally enjoying a potato chip cookie he had been begging for!
I printed out some valentine's cards I made for his party this week. When he knows I'm going to print, he waits to give me the paper once it comes out. When he saw these coming out he says, "Aww, it's so cute! What is it? You made it?!"
