I can't believe we are on a trip! I seriously wanted to sleep for a week straight just to catch up on rest! But we rolled right into our weekend trip and I have to do my best to keep up! My in-laws were so generous to take us to their time share so we could all spend the weekend together for Baba's birthday. It was really nice and relaxing. I completely knocked out in the way back of our truck for the entire drive... And I almost never fall asleep in cars, planes, trains, buses, or anything. I was very, very tired. But we got to nap at the room. We slept so long we almost missed having dinner before our show. Oh my, they got us second row seats which was awesome. We had our own little date night together with dinner and a stroll around that beautiful hotel. Later at night we went to meet up and say hello to our friends who were also in town and having a night out without the kids. We didn't stay long though, it's been waaaaay too long since I've been in any kind of club, we weren't dressed for it whatsoever, we don't drink, we don't dance, we're so tired... Man, are we old and boring! Ha, ha. That's ok, I've always been convinced that I have the body of an old woman. I have issues beyond my age and I can never keep up no matter how I try. The funny thing is, now that everyone around me is aging and feeling it, they are starting to sound like me. Except that I've been this way my whole life. I laugh to myself and feel bad for them because I know exactly how it feels to have random things going wrong, getting sick more often and for longer, not having as much energy, needing more time to recover, not doing as much as you'd like to or think you can do. Welcome to my life. Since I am also aging as they do... the question is, will I be going downhill at twice the pace as a normal person? I already have more than I can deal with most of the time. Life is all by God's grace anyway.

Aww, everyone wants to snuggle Uncle Dan. Baba took NJ to do some errands and even stop at Downtown Disney! It gave me time to rest off all the holiday busyness. I really needed that time to just do nothing. I put on a movie to watch and Becca ended up joining me. We both curled up with blankets and pillows on the couch and talked while half watching Pride and Prejudice. Funny because the last time I watched that was on the long flight to Japan together. It was like old times. Before Dan and before NJ, we used to lounge on this same couch in this living room watching movies together. Funny how things have changed, but haven't at the same time. The boys came back, then Dan came over straight from work and we had dinner together. So sweet how much they love NJ, play with him and talk to him. They have quite the bond, I love it.

Rose Parade
Front row seats! Thank you Baba and Uncles for braving the cold night on the side walk!
NJ said he liked the bands the best. I'm remembering that's what he said the last time we were here. Ha, ha.
Japan!
Taiwan! Who knew?
What? The rose queen is pretty?
The Bachelor?! How funny.
Well hello baby, you're here!
"Take a picture so we can send it to Ah-goo and Ah-gim!"
Yay for Donate Life!
Those are some huge horses!
Hey, it's Jack Black, haha!
NJ's favorite float because of the balloons floating out of the mouth, fun!
My ears! Too loud!! I wanted to do the same... Every tow truck was non-stop honking.
Hello policemen!
All packed up and heading back to the house. So fun, it wasn't too cold either. It warmed up fast. The last time we did this was the year we ended up moving. And now, our first year back, we had to do it again. Great memories!
Is Dotty's bed comfy?
Silly boys! While the dads caught up on some sleep, we watched the Lego Movie together. Then the boys played Legos for quite a while, while us moms watched Divergent together. It was kind of hard to hear though between the crashing, space ship noises, talking, laughing, and the snoring or heavy breathing. Ha, ha. We tried!
Time to play outside again! The bubble ball was already deflated so they brought out the orange one to hit, kick, and chase around.
So much fun together today and yesterday! They played so well together it was amazing! It was like a fun, relaxing vacation together, but at home. We had to say goodbye though. As soon as they pulled away in their car, NJ looked like he was about to cry. He really enjoyed their company and wanted them to stay. He said, "Now I don't have anyone to play with."
I know, baby, I loved having them here too. It just means we need to see them more often. :)
It was a mad rush in the morning with too many things going on, otherwise, I should have started the chili in the morning instead of when we came back from the parade. It was ready a bit after they left. NJ wanted them to stay for chili for dinner, but we enjoyed it together the three of us.
