Baba made some scrambled eggs and I warmed some belgian waffles and fruit topping. Breakfast was so yummy and we ate more than usual so it became more like brunch.
Getting some reading done. I see belly button, hee, hee.
Playing a game from one of his little booklets. They both have their stray hairs like they just woke up. So cute.
Baba worked hard on putting up a lot of pictures again today. We still had so many frames lined up against the walls on the floors. Baba is very skilled at placing nails and pictures without measuring. It's almost always perfectly centered and at the right height. He does it so quickly and easily, it's impressive.
This chalkboard used to be on the other side of our kitchen. The last few years at the other house it collected dust in the garage. It doesn't match our decor like it used to, but I couldn't part with it.
We put our wedding photos up where it's less visible in the house. We always feel weird about pictures of ourselves.
I like these a lot, NJ as a baby and when we were young.
NJ was very excited again about couscous, salad, and pizza. I love how he's easy to please.
A last minute drop in, how fun! We did a bit of a food exchange. Some pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting (yum!) for some whole wheat pizza dough and some fresh french bread. We had some for dinner, it was so good with just a little butter. We played a few games and sat around and talked for a bit. It feels weird not to go out all day today, but it also felt nice to not have to do anything or go anywhere. We took good naps and got a lot done around the house.

Baba went to a parent volunteer meeting this morning after we dropped him off. I went to my group while he was signing up for the PTA. Aww, we have a PTA Baba.
No homework today, but he did four pages of his workbook. After that he helped Baba with cleaning.
Baba mopped all the tile downstairs. We had some ants this morning. Besides that the floor has become visibly dirty. Even after cleaning the floor our feet got dirty. Need to figure out how to get it cleaner. :(
How cute, I went up to check on how they're doing. NJ wanted to show our little guest his room. It seemed like every time I looked he was trying to entertain him, show him something, guide him, or talk to him. It's funny and sweet. I was worried about him being too rough or not playing nicely. Hopefully he behaved with Auntie. We made dinner together, some pizza, salad, couscous, and some dumplings. Auntie brought some ice cream sandwiches, mochi ice cream, and the kids had some berries with a bit of whipped cream. Mmm... So nice to have them over, just like old times. Except it's not like old times, it's new and changed since they have a son now too. A very cute one!

My first morning walking NJ to school in at least a week. Finally I can take my daily walks again. I walked at my own pace, we had plenty of time. I still ended up so tired and out of breath by the time I got home. And even at 8:30 in the morning it's hot already.
We took a trip to the market so I can start making real food again. We ran out on a bunch of stuff. NJ said he was hot so he and Baba took turns putting a pack of peas and carrots on each other. As long as it's not on their faces, eew.
He's getting way too big for the cart. Baba stopped to check his blood pressure. I gave him a handful of sanitizer since it's cold season. We have one at home we can use from my recovery days.
NJ isn't pointing at Baba, but the car trunk. A usable trunk for groceries thanks to my mom who's letting us use her car. Only thing is, we don't have our reusable grocery bags in this car. And we are too cheap to pay for them so we loaded and unloaded them piece by piece. So it wasn't ideal, but I was so happy to use a trunk as silly as that sounds!
NJ did really well on his homework today. He usually has just one sheet to do, but today he had about five.
We made pizza for dinner. Earlier today I made some dough with the bread maker. It was ready for pizza making by the time we were hungry and we made it fast. NJ loves helping to put the toppings on.
Baba and I worked on the couscous, NJ was so excited for it. He ate a couple servings of it. Even after I though he had enough with two big slices of pizza.
It feels good to be back to myself again, for the most part anyway. I could walk him to school, make a meal for the family, and do some cleaning. I take for granted the everyday stuff until I can't do any of them for about a week, sometimes more. Just happy to be back.

While NJ started on his homework, I played florist with arranging the flowers. I separated the lilies, and the two kinds of orchids into other vases. The hydrangea already wilted too quickly. NJ did a lot of homework, workbook pages, and coloring pages until dinner time. He was very sad about not having much time to play, but tomorrow is a new day.

After waiting for my blood test, it's time to wait for the clinic doors to open. If I'm not one of the first few to register first, I wait even longer. I'm reading my first of the two books I brought. Before I knew it, I read two chapters and there was still time.
Waiting to see the coordinator and the doctor. Hopefully I can figure out what's going on. I don't like having to wake up four in the morning two weeks in a row. I'm on to my second book and the second chapter on this one too. Funny since I've always hated reading, it took joining a small group, book group, women's group to get me into it. When it's life giving, it's worth the time and effort. Thank goodness my liver numbers are back on track. I was having a mild rejection. Great. That explains how I was feeling, mostly. I had a lot of people praying for me by the time I got here. Thanks to some very caring friends.
I came home to have lunch and soon after NJ was home. We helped him with homework and then I knocked out until dinner time and then bedtime. I feel relieved though, now I just want to feel rested.

I asked NJ if he liked the flowers and if they smelled good. He said, "Yes" and "I think so".
Baba helped NJ build another contraption.
Then they played a couple games of chess.
After dinner, he built himself a pillow fort on the couch and tried to hide in it to surprise Baba. It almost worked except that he giggles too much.

NJ started to clean both bathroom sinks and wanted to show me and Baba how clean he got them. They were very clean, he did a great job! He asked for it to be added to his chores.
NJ's snack after finishing his homework. He devoured the seaweed and really likes the Skinny Pop from my mom too.
Lovely, beautiful, fragrant flowers from a sweet, sweet friend. Thank you! It totally made my day especially since I haven't been feeling well for a few days now.
