Someone was really tired and still totally out this morning. I could have slept in! Oh well, I made breakfast and started my chili in the slow cooker for lunch.
He asked me to take a picture of him with his paper bag hat.
It was a hot day plus Baba and I were working all day on rearranging our rooms. So jumping in the pool was extra refreshing!
Ah-ma told us NJ said to her that she needs to "respect me and respect God." Hmm, what was that about? They have some pretty strange conversations those two.

Not much milk left after pouring him some for his cereal.
So NJ decides to down it. That's our growing boy!
So cute and cuddly with his elephant.
Dinner play date with friends. All we had was brown rice, chicken, and veggies, but the kids ate it (even having seconds). Us mommies were happily surprised.

"Thank you for letting me have frozen yogurt"

Lots of excitement and noise from NJ and Dotty first thing in the morning from three squirrels running around the backyard. The usual squirrel had some friends today or some kind of love triangle.
Last day of his first year of preschool. He's as excited as any other day.
NJ and his teachers, he loves them and talks about them so much.
Another poor bird victim to our large windows. Baba is also trying to do something about the ant problem inside and outside.
We took NJ out to celebrate and he chose frozen yogurt (we're secretly happy that he didn't choose "chucker cheese").
He picked whatever he wanted, so colorful!
Needless to say he thoroughly enjoyed it! We're so proud of him for having a great year. He's learned so much more than I can teach him at home and more importantly he's learned to be a better person, learned more about God, and he's more social than before. Can't wait for his next year and to see how he'll grow.

Park play date with some friends.
A fun little train ride...
Blowing little bubbles and huge bubbles.
One of the giant bubbles popped on him and he got a face full of foam. He got showered with bubbles and soap.
Someone is totally pooped, he only lasted a couple minutes in the car before knocking out. He ate a pretty good amount at our picnic lunch, rode the train, blew bubbles, ran around, blew more bubbles, ran around some more. NJ was so sweaty and dirty, but I'm so happy that he had a ton of fun!
We came home to a surprise in the living room. Baba had brought this set of table and chairs home last night from our friends.
Lots of nice surprises today. NJ couldn't wait to use his "new" table and chairs. I asked him to clean his toys first before using it to color or draw on. It will also be perfect for crafts, projects, reading, writing, and eating with his friends when little ones come over. I'm excited for him to use it too. Thank you Uncle Steve and Auntie Helen!

Pajama party at school today. It was warm today so I hope he was comfortable. He said they ate all kinds of goodies and picnicked in the playground. Sounds fun.
It was all about the corn. He didn't care about what else was on his plate, but he still ate it.
After all that corn, we both sat down together on stools in the bathroom to floss. He enjoyed it.

NJ's been asking to make this giant donut since seeing the box (my mom brought it over from my aunt). He asked if we could make it to bring it to the park yesterday to share. But he didn't know we were going to the Safari Park, there's no way we could bring it. Such a sweet thought. He still wanted to share it with friends today. He was happy to help mix it.
We had Baba's cousin and family over for a bit in the morning. They all gathered at the lego table.
He took this out to put together on his own. Someone still has yesterday on his mind.
Salad on the menu again, NJ jumps at the chance to push the salad spinner.
NJ is helping Baba's falling pants. Eating better and being more active has done wonders.
NJ was using this water gun to "make it rain" (spraying it straight up). And when I asked him how long it would rain he said, "Three minutes" (so specific!). When I asked him another time, he said "ten minutes."
A little pool time is so refreshing and fun!
Baking is done, now it's time to decorate!
Fun finished product. Such a bad photos. Dotty is waiting and hoping it will be dropped.
NJ was so excited to get a taste of the donut cake, it was part of the top of each side that was cut off.

NJ is a happy boy, he's excited to be at the safari park.
Gorilla's are huge!
How cute!
This came with his lunch, but how does he know to ask for it by name? "Mama, I want the Pirate's Booty."
His head in this perspective looks bigger than the balloon ride.
I think my favorite was seeing the elephants, especially the baby ones.
A couple of my favorite photos NJ took on our tram ride. He asked me for my camera so I let him take some photos.

Sitting down for dinner after a long day walking in the sun felt great! Surprisingly, the boys had an extra burst of energy and did a great job eating.
