Picture Day
NJ is all ready for picture day. I saved a polo this week for today. He got his haircut earlier this week, we spiked it and practiced his smile.
We were going to do a pizza night but we decided to make it a hand roll night instead. So yummy. Everyone inhaled them, especially NJ. He always eats more than me when we make this. We barely had any room for nectarines and mango mochi ice cream, but still had a little.

A quick homemade salad and pizza for dinner. It's all we had in the fridge to make a meal, but it worked out great!
Baba helped me turn the table around so the drawers wouldn't be on the guest side of the table. And the baby won't be opening and closing the drawers potentially getting little fingers caught. I can also stock it with napkins and coasters for the table.
Moon cake from our Auntie. I'm not a huge fan of moon cake, but these 85c ones were really good. Baba likes the ones with yolk in it so he ate those. Hopefully we can share them with friends, otherwise, this is way too much for us!

After his homework, he got his bowl of strawberries. I put a bit of whip cream on top. We each had a bowl and ate a whole container full.

NJ was so excited that we finally brought out the stickers to put up. NJ wanted to make his own design. I laughed at how particular he was and made fun of Baba having to take his art direction. Ha, ha.

He put one guy on his bed. He says it's him. And he faced his elephant to look at it. I gave him the new chore of making his bed every morning. After showing him how, he tried it for the first time and seemed proud of it, posing on his bed.
He was proud of his creation of stickers above his bed.

NJ's checking out all the cool mini figures that Uncle and Baba have.
They both gave their long descriptions of what they are and who's who, but I didn't get much or any of it! They are so excited to play chess with their own sets they made from mini figures. So nerdy and cool at the same time!
NJ wanted to play with Play-Do. He was excited to see what was in the big bag of molds and toys and Play-Do colors from Auntie (Thank you Auntie Helen).
Some one is hungry. He brought the step stool to watch me cook. I eventually had to ask him to get down and put it back because he was inching his way too close.
I was really craving some chipotle, but it was too hot to go out and I was feeling much too lazy. So I made us some onion cakes and chicken dumplings. NJ also had a few chicken nuggets. He was as happy as can be. So I'm glad we saved the money and stayed in. Some veggies would have been nice though.
After dinner he brought his books and magazines to the table to read them. He asked for me to help him find stuff in his I Spy book. But he'd still find it before I could.
