"Read this book to me!" He really likes this book I picked up at the recent yard sale about a boy and a dinosaur. I read it to him several times a day.
Just before this, NJ was looking at Baba's fishing reel and asking about it. He wanted to know how to catch fish on it. I tried to explain that it wasn't all of it, there's also a pole involved. I asked him if he wanted to fish he says: "No. I don't want to fish because I don't want a shark."
Why not?
"Because it's gonna eat me!"
I asked him if he liked this r2d2 and he says, "Yeah. No girl toys!"
Ok...
As I'm washing dishes I look up and see him eating at the counter out of a play-do container. I had to stop and do a double take, I was confused. Then I realized that was the one he emptied and he was eating some crackers I gave him. He emptied the package into the play-do container to eat out of it. Resourceful and creative, but eeeeww... I took it from him to wash it. I dumped out the remainder of it's contents. It used to hold white play-do so the container had a combination of white play-do dust and cracker crumbs which all looked about the same. Play-do's not hazardous to ingest, right? It can't be, it's for kids. Hopefully. I think it's fine.

We had to explain to him that we don't have a night free until next week for our movie night. So for his patience we gave him some chocolate milk with a few m&m's while he watched his favorite show. He was one happy boy. These are the m&m's he picked out at the store. This is how long it's taken for us to give them to him. He was begging the first day or two and then forgot about it.
Did I already say what a happy boy he was after some treats? He ran around the house sharing his m&m's with us saying, "For you Baba, I want to share!" or "Mama, for you, I'm sharing. I don't want to eat all of it."
NJ asked me, "Can I ride my bike for just a leeeee-lo bit?" as he puts his thumb and forefinger together really close to his squinty eye. How could I resist? And he really did only ride it for a little bit.
