Swimming and S'mores

Yay, his camo hat still fits! My mom made it for him last summer. I think she knew that his head would get even bigger. He used to be great with hats, now he doesn't like wearing them. So I was surprised he actually put it on today. He came in to our room to choose a dvd to watch. We put on a movie after our swim time. 

S'mores! Under a perfect full moon on a cool night. Sitting by the fire heating some marshmallows was so relaxing and fun. Finally we get to use our fire pit! We have not used it since before moving. It brought back memories of when we used to sit around the fire with friends staying up talking and talking. Good times and good memories. Happy and thankful to be making more, now with NJ. 

Sporting his "new" robe, it's so cute! I went to my last book group and came back with milk, juice, cereal, and a big bag of clothes for NJ. Wow, what an unexpected shower of blessing. Continually thankful for any and all clothes (and more) that we get for NJ from Cameron, Josh, Ryan, Caden, Owen, Nathan... It's funny how they come in spurts, a little at a time, but it is always exactly what he needs at the time. Thank you! 

We went to check on construction at my mom's. She was very hesitant to change anything, but was kind of forced to because of a leaky tub. We picked up some stuff they were throwing out. That's us, the trash pickers! 

NJ was really tired I guess. Ah-ma put a mask on him because of some minor dust from the construction. I feel like we're in asia! 

"See that one? It's called a butt fish"

Some of the interesting things that NJ said today...

"I can only jump on the bed at the hotel so I don't get hurt and fall and I'll break and bleeding all over?"

Something like that.

"Can we pray before we drive?"
(Yes, go ahead)

"Please give us a safe drive and get home safely."

"See that one? It's called a butt fish. Yes it is! Because I know!"

"Is Ah-gim coming too? Can Ah-goo come home with us?"

"Elephant is watching"

This pretty much sums up our day... relaxing and recovering from doing so much in the last few days. NJ knows how to get comfy!

Father's Day and Commissioning

A very early morning for the three of us. Especially this walking zombie still in his jammies, alfalfa hair, and stumbling around. The bell hop gave him a light up stick to play with, how nice! 

We drove straight to HOPE so I could make it to the mission commissioning and have the church pray for us before Japan. And the whole team was there together so we took a group photo, including a surprise from pastor mike! As exhausted as we were, glad we didn't miss it. 

Hamburger and pizza, I was wondering where they went! 

NJ begged me for some popcorn. He was so excited he even got on a stool to watch from across the kitchen. 

Baba and Mama were barely functioning from all that driving and little sleep, but not this guy! Ugh. He was asking for another toy so I asked him to get something to swap for something new. He got one train track for another. I like how this is working! He doesn't get tired of his toys and we don't have them taking over the house. We're happy, he's happy. 

Poor Baba is not feeling well at all. We didn't get to celebrate Father's day. He was totally out (asleep) trying to rest off his sickness. So NJ and I left him his cards for him to get when he's up for it. This is as far as we got with a father's day celebration besides having a root beer float at church!
