"There's a shark in there!"
While NJ played with playdo, I was playing around with jello and shark gummies. I wanted to try an idea my friend sent me, it was definitely an experiment. But the good thing is, jello is pretty hard to mess up. It turned out to be easy and actually worked well. I think I liked the way it looked better than it tasted, though. Baba warned me not to eat the mushy gummy inside. Oh well, I enjoyed making them!

"Can I say what I'm thankful for?"
NJ excitedly rode around the driveway, he made a few rounds until we had to go.
Baba and I didn't want to get him too excited about where we were going so we'd refer to the place as, "S-A-M's". In the car NJ says to us, "We going to es-ee-ms?" We busted out laughing, he's always listening! We shopped for this weekend.
This jacket my son is wearing used to be mine! I remember wearing it and I have lots of pictures of me wearing it. So cute to see him in it. My mom keeps everything!
Of coarse! He lists a few things, "Swimming in the pool and jumping from the step... playing catch with the ball... Christmas lights on... watching Thomas."
I'm proud of him for wanting to spontaneously be thankful, I love it!

Sick of Sickness
It's starting to feel hopeless around here. We're all moping around like cranky grumps grunting at each other. We've been sick for weeks, this is the third week we haven't been to church or out for anything really. We're stir crazy and feeling sad and miserable. No fun! Hoping to be better by next week. Really nothing to post about, nothing exciting except for hoping to get better. We need some relief, to have some energy, be able to do things and have some human contact again. Even NJ is keeps asking, "What are we doing today?" or "Who we gonna see today?" I'm so sad to have to say, "Nothing. We're sick." or "No one. We're sick." Even in his prayers at night he's been saying, "Please let Mama and Baba and me to get better so we can see our friends." Ha! Even he equates sickness to not seeing people. Poor guy, he's just stuck with us!
