Christmas breakfast

I made some french toast with hawaiian bread and some fresh blueberries. yum. it was nice to wake up, make breakfast, and eat together. Nj had the serious giggles going on. he giggled his way through breakfast. he had us laughing and then he'd laugh harder. silly boy. :)

wooooaw, trucks!

thank you, uncle perry and auntie karen! i played with them all day long!
after breakfast, we let nj open some gifts before we had to leave.

lunch at great-grandma's

i saw my ah-ma and gong-gong and lots of my other aunties and uncles!

guitar!

we had a nice, quiet, and relaxed dinner with nj's guh-guh and parents. then we let him open a couple more gifts. we also watched a Christmas veggie tales dvd. what a special Christmas that we could spend it with family and friends! we're so blessed. :)

for me?

thomas the train bubble blower. he blew a few bubbles out with a big smile! and says, "bubble".

what's in the bear's pouch? he says, "money".

he helped himself to a snack pack of dried pears while baba sweat to some x-box kinects!

he loved the doggies, especially cous-cous with his santa outfit on! so cute. nj liked his licking and would open his mouth sometimes! eeew. we had to keep wiping his mouth, but he does that with dot-dot too, so nothing new.

thank you, aunite janell for all the goodies for our nj, he's so loved!

thank you, auntie ellen!!

nj loves these snacks. as i start to put it away, he starts getting teary eyed and whining! really? just for putting them away? clearly he thought he was having more than one, but he thought wrong! i had to tell him not to cry, he's eating one already and he could have another one later. he even let dot take a bite out of it and then put it back in his mouth, yuck. i tried to grab it, but it was too late. ugh. might as well let him finish eating it.

banana! not for you, dot-dot, sorry.

no crying! you can't go outside, it's still wet out. you could slip and fall!

like my outfit?

dressed warmly in layers for a cold night.

what are we waiting for? oh, food!

pouty over milk...

he kept asking for his sippy, but i told him he's a big boy now so he doesn't need it. there was pouting, whining, and got a little teary eyed, but I didn't give in. I told him if he didn't want his milk, he wouldn't get anymore unless he drank it from there. he was a good boy and listened. it's a new thing for us to have to explain everything and convince him at times, but it's also kind of nice to be able to.

good bye, i lub yooo...

Christmas is almost here.

I'm so happy to be back home, I really missed seeing my baby (big and small). He's talking more and more and I feel like I've really missed out only being gone for four days. Today I realized that my Christmas gift this year will just be waking up with my husband and son to pray together and watch nj open his gifts for the first time. I hope to have at least that for Christmas, time with family and stay relaxed. If I do end up back in the hospital, then I'll still be grateful to be alive knowing I have plenty of people who love me. Thanks everyone, for the lovely Christmas cards.

say, "cheeese"

mom taught him how to say handsome and pretty in taiwanese. it's quite cute! if you ask him who's handsome, he'll point to himself, silly boy!
