Book Group and FOT

Baby shower! Bunny and lamb theme.
Bunny diaper cake, the pink is quite bright!
How many have been pregnant or had a baby since I've been in my book group/small group? Hmm... five? Another wave of babies, firsts, seconds, and thirds. I'm getting better at winning the games. Baba says it's because I have experience. And it's not over yet! I'm glad I could go and enjoy the lovely shower. And I'm thankful my boys were willing to drop me off and pick me up. Baba has been worried about me getting too tired.
The boys got their own booth, how cute.
Thanks Uncle Ken, these monster trucks are the best!
This chunk of corn bread was about the size of his head. To no surprise, he ate most of it plus his dinner.
An after dinner trip to our favorite Taiwanese bakery!
Yes, this is a happy boy because he got to pick out some bread.
What a long and tiring day! It was worth it to see friends, be supportive, and invest in others.
Ham and happiness. We had lots of yummy food... ham, corn, yams, brussels sprouts, rice, and cheese pizza. We pulled out an extra table for all three of us families to fit. It was really nice to sit and share a meal together at one huge table. I love doing that. Baba took some great photos of all of us and some fun ones with the kids, but I have yet to download them. They will be added later.
The kids (most of them) enjoying a hot chocolate with a candy can to stir. They all chose their own mugs. How cute and happy they are with a warm treat. The kids exchanged gifts to each other, it was so cute to see them opening them all and how happy they were. Baba even recorded some of it. There was jumping, cheering, even tears of joy! Who would have known? Ha, it was a joy to watch. We're thankful for good friends.

Peacocks, Chex, and Diapers

Awesome afternoon at the park. The kids fed the ducks, fed the peacocks, rode the train, rode horses, ate yummy snacks, played on a playground and generally just ran around. Somehow these were the only photos I was able to get, there was so much going on! NJ didn't ride the little horse, but he really enjoyed the ducks and peacocks. Not to mention running around with all his little friends. Auntie Joanna was so nice to buy him an icee. I was worried about it being too cold, but I guess they were fine! We got together for an Auntie and Uncle's birthday, but we ended up focusing a lot on the kids and enjoying them. We're thankful for our time together. Wish we could have stayed, kept up with everyone, and hung out longer. If only my body would keep up!
After a very long nap (all three of us took) I made some chex mix with NJ. He was so excited about helping, but even more excited about eating it! I was surprised that at the store the cereal boxes were only a dollar something. So I bought six. I had to make some of the mix since the boys love it so much. My little helper was there for me.
I needed help from Baba to hold the diapers while I tied the ribbon. So sweet of him to help even though we were both so tired. We managed to finish though so I didn't have to work on it tomorrow. I kinda wish I could just sleep the weekend through, but it's going to be packed!

Christmas Performance

A quick early dinner, change into dressy Christmas clothes, and back to school again. We went an hour early to get decent seats. After school I talked to some moms that were still going shopping to find clothes for their kids to wear for tonight. We're thankful for hand me downs and gifts, I didn't have to buy anything. He got this green sweater last year as a gift and he just got these black corduroys from his friend last week. How perfect!
He happily showed me where the sanctuary was, I've never been.
It's decorated so nicely. Are you ready to sing?

Watching NJ in stuff like is make us proud parents. He's growing faster than we can keep up with. It's so sweet to hear him singing all the songs at home to himself as he plays.

Little Baker

Mmm... Baba made Ah-ma's recipe of adobo chicken. We had it with some green beans and brown rice. We had a dinner guest too. He couldn't wait to see Auntie Nicole.
We're done with dinner and now it's time to bake! Yay! Who's most excited? We all are! I was in my room when I heard NJ yell: "Yeah! We're gonna bake Mama?! What are we baking?!" as he ran over to me. He was busy playing so he didn't see that I had brought out all the ingredients and mixer. It's been a while I realized.
Someone is so excited with his little chef hat and apron!
He loves pouring in the ingredients.
Even Dot got to participate in her own way. NJ spilled maybe half a cup of rice crispies one the counter and I gave them to Dot. She inhaled it. It was funny to see how they stuck to her nose and tongue too.
Rolling them out so we can put them in the oven. NJ was already off to bed by the time we got to this part so his hands never touched them. He was so good and went to sleep without begging too much about wanting to eat them. I put a couple in a snack bag for him for school.
Chocolate double chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter crunch cookies.
We couldn't decide which one was more delicious. Auntie and I were doing our happy dance and filled with joy at the sight, smell, and taste of our baking results! We love baking when it's cold, especially with the warmth and aroma from the over. Mmmm... Thank you Auntie Nicole for joining us for dinner and helping me satisfy my love for baking with me!

Christmas Trees

Someone's asking for a tummy ache! This morning when Baba was talking to NJ, he replied to Baba with: "I can't understand you because your mouth is full." Which is what we say to him all the time. Never thought he'd use it on us!
It's the first day of December and it's time to decorate the trees we put up. This one is up to NJ to decorate as he wants. All the ornaments he's made or been given.
Time to put the star on!
Yay, just the perfect height!
Looks like a shake down by Baba, but they're just having some fun.
More rough housing between the boys.
I felt like nudging him with my foot to see if he was alive like I do Dotty sometimes.
Since NJ was in the rough housing mood, Baba helped him put on some gloves.
NJ got these for his birthday surprisingly from my aunt, which I thought was pretty funny.
This is better than I thought, he got so much energy out that it tired him out! And it was quite hilarious to see him bumbling around in circles. We need to work on his coordination.
My favorite ornaments with NJ's pictures in them. From each Christmas we've had with him. Including the first photo we got of him when we found out about him on Christmas day. The best Christmas ever!
Yay, the trees are done! NJ's ornament tree.
And our blue and silver tree that is now on a green tree and not the white. We've had the white tree for as long as I can remember having a tree. Nearly as long as we've been married I think. It's finally time to retire the old tree, it's turned yellow in the last two maybe three years. I don't want to think about what color it might be this year, probably brown. And why not when we got two free trees from our friends that didn't need them anymore? Thank you, we love our trees!
After his shower NJ came out while putting his pi's on. He said, "Mama, something's wrong with my shirt." It was especially funny since he was wearing it as a shrug. He put his arms in with the shirt upside down. I helped him put it right side up.
