Shoe mess before.
Clean shoe storage after (plus more in the garage). Yay, finally some order! Our shoes have been all over the hallway where we trip on them. Or stuffed in a box in the garage. Now we can access them easily and have them nice and organized. While we were getting these today Baba helped someone load a couch onto the top of a girl's car. We got a bunch of stuff for me to work on some projects too.
Some afternoon tea with a couple of close friends. Haven't done this in a really long time, it's so nice!

It's been hard to get out of bed lately. I pressed snooze this morning more than I should have. When I came downstairs he was studying his Lego instructions. He was already dressed and he had finished a bowl of cereal with milk. Our boy is growing up.
We worked on taping a pencil and mini candy cane on a card for each of his classmates. Earlier today I stamped some labels and wrote on each one.
NJ's only homework today was to practice his song for tomorrow's performance. The kindergarten and fifth grade are singing Marshmallow World. So cute.
He also wrote some cards, one for his teacher and one for the teacher's aide. I really like the two people with the flowers coming out of the cake.

"Have you had a baby yet?"
His homework was to write sentences with his sight words. These were the sentences he came up with:
I have legos like you too!
Can we have a ride in the airplane?
Have you had a baby yet?
I like the fourth of July do you?
When can we have Chick-Fil-A for dinner?
We know he thinks about Legos and planes, and food, but where did he get baby and fourth of July? Silly.
"I'm photo bombing you!"
That made us laugh... "That doesn't make sense! How can you photo bomb a picture I'm taking of you?!"
He just laughed hysterically at us.
His school had dine out night at Blaze to support the school. We brought it home to eat. NJ was trying to read the box backwards. I don't remember what he was pronouncing, but it was with missing and added letters. So when I read it: morf ton ot nur, he couldn't stop laughing.

"Nobody celebrates honk-keh-kah."

"Nobody celebrates honk-keh-kah."
Heh? He randomly said this as he's getting into the shower.
We said, "It's Hanukah and people do celebrate it. It's a Jewish holiday"
NJ, "Not in our class!"
"Can we make this again? Like tomonow?"
He still says tomorrow as tomonow even though we try to correct him. It's ok, it's still cute and he'll grow out of it soon enough. He wanted more chicken pot pie. We made it yesterday for the pot luck and for dinner. But we saved it for tonight to eat. He ate it so enthusiastically, it was funny. When he really likes something, you know it.

Ornaments round two. So many that we still needed to finish painting and Baba helped with varnishing them. I like these better than I thought. I don't know if I want to give them away now!
I brought some ornaments with cards to book group's potluck. We had a lot of good food as usual. I'll miss them until we start up again.

Snow Days
Since NJ had his Lego Star Wars shirt on it seemed fitting to take a photo with Darth and the Death Star. Ha, ha.
Ping pong toss. They got two frogs.
Emmett and Panda Emmett! He went and gave him a big hug first before the picture. Thank you Uncle Perry and Auntie Karen for the perfect sweater!
All five kids went tubing at once, their smiles were the biggest.
So festive!
Lunch break.
Auntie bought all the kids ice cream, wow! Thank you!
Walking backwards. Good thing it wasn't crowded so they can't run into anyone.
Their first time on this ride. Looks like they're having fun. I was too cold to go.
He just stood in the middle like he does and reads. I had to move him out of the way when others came along otherwise, they had to walk around him.
Knocked out! At least it wasn't hot today or cold. It was also quite empty. The kids would sometimes get off a ride and run around to get right back on. They got to do any ride they wanted without long lines or any lines. It was great for all of us.
A stop for dinner before heading home. We all have to eat anyway. They all still have school tomorrow, but I'm sure they're tired enough to knock out again at home.
