NJ's helping me clean the table tops and trash and recycle lids. Great that he still likes to clean and help out.
On our way out to the museum in Hollywood, we dropped by an old favorite of ours. It was like when we were first together back in college, we would come here to get sandwiches, garlic bread, all kinds of delicious food and goodies! It made us both reminisce the past. It hasn't changed a bit. If we had the time we would have also stopped at Porto's, but time to get to the museum to meet some friends.

Tons of fun! Especially for the littlest one who wants to be a firefighter, he was super excited and enthusiastic about everything! We all enjoyed seeing all the old trucks and collections of everything firefighting they had. It was free museum day around the city, at select museums. What a fun outing! Great idea, Auntie!

I like how he pressed the crossing button with his cane, made me laugh.
This little old man is ready to cross the street.
Even from the back he looked like a little old man
NJ and one of his friends at school all dressed up. They both had wigs or hair pieces on. So cute.
Today they will learn all about the number 100.
He was decorated with a sticker, a hat, and a fruit loops necklace. How fun!
That necklace was left on the coffee table and it got stolen and eaten by Dot. NJ was pretty sad about that. We didn't want either one of them eating it, it can't be good for them.
NJ's second judo class and his first time going one on one. He got the foot sweep a couple of times. Go NJ!
Good job, NJ :)

NJ was fast with his homework today. After his homework we tried out his outfit for tomorrow...
Some sweats, flannel, and sweater vest with glasses and balding grey hair.
Now with a cane and a hat. I was hoping to find some good ideas and props from Daiso. It was the best! I wrote on the hat: Don't Forget My Senior Discount. I wanted to take a picture of him, but I was laughing so hard I couldn't keep the camera straight. I cried from laughter, he looks so silly. Baba saw him and couldn't stop laughing. This is better than I could have imagined!
We all snacked on some popcorn. Dot had her eyes locked on him, waiting for anything to drop.

A little reading before heading to school.
I got invited for a stroll in the park. This reminds me of when NJ was little and going to the park with him. So fun.
Ah-gong stopped by in the afternoon in time to walk with me to pick up NJ. Dad brought some fun gifts from his trip. He brought a national park puzzle, national park Monopoly and a volcano kit. When he was done with the puzzle, he cuddled up with him on our couch and we all watched Master Chef Kids. I asked NJ if he wanted to make sushi. He said he just wants to eat it.

Baba helps NJ with tying his gi. It still fits! Even though Uncle Tomo got it for him for his fifth birthday, it's still a good fit.
Nice! All ready for later.
Working on homework. This is what he looks like when he's insisting he's right about something and soon after comes the attitude. He's getting pretty good at spelling though! He'll ask us how to spell something and spell what he thinks it is. Amazingly, it's usually right!
Here we are! Don't look so nervous son! He said earlier in the day, "But I don't want to get hit."
I don't know where he got that idea, he's been there before to watch. And we told him it's just running, rolling, tumbling, balance, and using your weight. No punching, no kicking, that's what we like about it.
So cute doing his stretches and lining up. We watched him and the newest students in the very back of the room. They were learning to roll, tumble, and land. Also to count in Japanese, bow properly in respect, and listening carefully to directions.
Great job! He listened well and followed along just fine. We're so proud. We asked how he liked it. He said, "I like it, it was fun. I'm tired."
"See, you didn't get hit or hurt. And it's good you're tired, you should be!"
Too bad Baba couldn't join in on his first judo class. Baba will usually help teach the kids before he has his own practice. Maybe someday NJ will be a black belt just like Baba!
