This is how I found him when I went to get him up from his nap. He took too long to sleep (wanting to go to the bathroom, saying hi to the pool man, wandering around...) so he didn't get a long enough nap. He was mr. cranky and I was worried about going to see our family and friends!

NJ did pretty good with all his aunties, uncles, and great aunts, great uncles, and friends. He especially had a lot of fun chasing Yuuki and getting balloon animals. He chose a penguin then a monkey. Waiting and watching it being made, he jumped up and down so excitedly. 

So much food on his face that he got a beauty mark in the process.

Laundry

As tempting as it is to pick up food while I'm out, I've been trying to be good by making lunch at home. Especially when I'm tired! Well, today, I got home and I couldn't find my house key. :( So until we could get back in, we went to eat and kill time. Maybe it was because he was so happy to be there, but he was singing, talking, and saying hi to everyone. It helps that there was food there that he loves.

"Twelve Volkswagon!"

There were twelve today at the Best Buy. He wanted to walk over to the first three parked next to each other and take pictures. You'd think that taking one photo with one was good, but no! NJ wanted a picture with each. I convinced him to let me drive him passed the rest!

"You have the wrong number?"

As we're cutting and gluing more pictures, NJ decides to get his cookie monster remote control to use as a phone. He says, "Mama, I'm calling you!" I pretend to pick up a phone and say "Hello."

NJ- "Hello? You have the wrong number?"

M- "I do? Oh, I'm sorry."

NJ- "I'm going to the store now."

M- "You are? Can you get some milk?"

NJ- "No, I'm buying toilet paper because we need more. So... Ok, bye, love you!"

M- "Bye, love you!"

"I'm driving Toyota!"

NJ helped me finally clean out the car, it's long over due. Finally fished out that hash brown that I could see every time I got in the car, but couldn't reach! Still needs to be vacuumed, though.

"I like getting trash!"

Some yard clean up too. While weeding the other day, I noticed how much trash was hidden in all the shrubbery out front. Lots of plastic bags, wrappers, napkins, water bottles, paper, and a beer bottle. Where did this all come from? NJ was so helpful walking through small spaces to pick up what I couldn't reach. He was my happy helper.

HOPE!

"Little penguin!"

I gave him some of the newspapers and ads to cut. He cut out more cars, but was especially enthusiastic about the penguins. He also cut some coupons (unusable, though since they were in shreds).

Yay weeds!

Weeds, weeds, weeds, it's starting to feel hopeless! This is day five? I haven't gotten through the back completely and I've already found more in the front sprouting up again. At least NJ is still enthusiastic!
