dotty walk, see sunset!

we went for a little walk and stopped at auntie's house down the street. the whole family was there, so we could say hi to everyone!

double checking our receipt

on our way through the store, he spotted thomas the train (or as he calls them: blue train) playing on two display tv's. I didn't see it, so when he randomly said, "train!" I was wondering what he was talking about until seeing it. from then on, he kept asking, "see train?" and asking me to go back. we passed it again, but had to tell him that we'd come back to see it another day.

half naked eating

water soaked up his shirt after playing with his cup. he asked me to wipe it, but it wouldn't do anything for him so I just removed it. as soon as it came off, he wanted to look at his belly button. then he kept asking for his shirt back until I got him a new one.

he likes to play on the floor, but never like this! it must be time to vacuum because he kept pointing out dust to me and saying, "this one."

hmmm... a million eight?

baba was looking at a real estate flyer and nj asked to see it. he really looked like he was studying it.

police sticker

nj waved hello to policemen and got a sticker from them. he was so excited, we had to keep telling him not to peel it in the car. when we got home, it was already bedtime so we told him we'd keep it for him until tomorrow. he almost cried!

dirty

his truck went underneath the coffee table/bench and he crawled under to get it. he came back holding his hand out at me. there was dust on it and he said, "mama wipe". I took him to the bathroom to wash his hands.

blue(berry) teeth

I surprised nj by making him some blueberry pancakes for breakfast. it made me happy that he kept asking for more. the fresh blueberries gave him a blue smile.

stop staring, don't be creepy!

auntie told him he could look at baby, but don't touch. he's always so interested in what's going on with baby.

before leaving, nj said, "no pants", referring to baby. ha, ha! as uncle jeff said, nice observation...

or sometimes it's "play cars" as soon as he's done eating a meal. that's all it seems like he wants to do!

quesadilla!

this little guy had a cheese quesadilla, three plates full of cucumbers and carne asada, and then a bowl of fruit! I was surprised every time he asked for more and more surprised when he asked for fruit after finishing. letting him out of the seat, the buckle disappeared under his big belly! he ate so much we didn't give him milk before bed, but he still asked for it. baba asked him where he was going to fit the milk. ha, ha.

singing his abc's... he ends it now with: next time sing with me! he can say it all the way through except for skipping the letter "m" and he says "p" instead of "t". before he'd go from: efg to qrs!

bunny cookies

he kept asking me for bunny cookies from auntie ellen. after his nap, I gave him some (along with shrimp chips and grapes). he'd show me and say chocolate or vanilla. but he'd say it, choc-lik and mavilla.

mama, clean up!

(says nj) I hear mama being shouted from across the house, I look around the corner and nj comes running from our bedroom. he says something about dotty and leads me to her and her bed. she's been tearing out the stuffing and she did it again, it was all over. he points at it and tells me to clean it. thanks! he said it several times today. when he spilled some water from his cup, when I asked him to put away his toys, when he got dinner on his tray... I don't know where he learned, "mama clean up", but it wasn't from me! I haven't heard him say, baba clean up!
