Poor guy woke up with a runny nose. He went over to grandma's, but it turns out it was just a morning thing. Whew!

I woke up this morning and thought: I'm going to paint today! I got to do three, all of them a surprise for different people. Felt great to get my paints out, I don't do it enough.

"I'm sweaty, I'm sweaty, I'm sweaty!"

Keeping busy on a very hot day!
We took an early morning walk to the store. You sit back and you eat your donut while Mama pushes you...
Picking up a few groceries and getting some caffeine.
So hot and tired, but we made it home! Yay!
Watching carefully as the bread maker turns dough.
Watering our dry plants, some barely hanging on!
Some relaxation...
Roll that dough!
NJ wanted a Christmas tree shaped pizza, so here's how it turned out.
An afternoon treat that's nice and cold.
Some cutting and gluing (and stamping and drawing).
What a likeness to his happy face he drew! Haha.

There's quite a bit he had to say today too...

M- "Did you fart or was that Dotty?"
NJ- "I think it was Dotty."
M- "Are you sure?"
NJ- "Yeah. I think."

M- "Thank you for coming with me, I had fun with you!" (our walk to Starbucks)
NJ- "I had fun with you too!"

NJ- "Is this lunch or dinner?" (as I'm making food)
M- "It's lunch."
NJ- "Ok, when it's ready you call me and I will come eat."

NJ- "Mama, umm... I'm sorry but can I ask you a favor? Can I tell Baba lunch is ready now?"

NJ- "Can I have something? Oh no, don't ask for anything, Mama said." (after finishing lunch)

NJ- "Are you tall Mama?"
M- "Not really, somewhat, what do you mean?"
NJ- "Can you reach the ice cream?"

All day he made a song of saying, "I'm sweaty, I'm sweaty, I'm sweaty!" (Me too!)

"Is that blueberry muffin?"

I said he'd have to finish his yogurt before getting a freshly made blueberry muffin... So he scarfed down the rest of his yogurt in no time!

VBS Sunday

We had a special service with the kids singing VBS songs. NJ was still the one to be standing there not doing anything but staring into space or at other kids. Even though he loves and knows all the songs!
Poor guy said he was tired. I think he was overwhelmed by the mess I had made in his room. I changed the sheets and cleared all his 3T's out to replace them with his 4T's. Already! My goodness, all his tee's are getting stuck on his head and his pants are not buttoning even at it's last adjustable button. All his pajama's are especially snug, it takes that much longer to get on and off. I'm surprised because usually he's still wearing a size well into the next stage, but not this time. He still has a few months before he's four. He definitely had a growth spurt because everyone comments on how tall he's gotten. I can't believe how fast he's growing.
