Flip Flop Afloat

Quick trip to the craft store for some deals we couldn't refuse. Since we are in cleaning and organizing mode, we got a few very useful boxes. And picked up a few small canvases for my on-going projects.
So happy to see him back at his little table eating his meals. He wasn't too excited about us having a ton of leftovers. Can you tell? Ha, ha. He just wanted to play.
The three of us snuggled up in our bed and he watched some curious george. Baba and I completely knocked out eventually. We've been playing shows and stuff off our phones and computers instead of paying for cable/satellite. It's been working out nicely.
Back to playing for a bit until heading to Ah-gong's house.
My cousins went for a ride in the kayak, but it turned into a rescue mission. For NJ's slipper, that is. Should've known that would happen! He was putting his feet up on this rail looking over. Just as we were telling him to be careful, he drops one of his flip flops.
So ridiculous. They did a great job catching it before it went underneath the neighbor's bridge and onto the next dock. They used their paddle and a long reaching thing along with maneuvering the kayak well enough to get where they needed to. I just assumed it was gone. Good thing these things float! And thank goodness for their willingness to help.
He's all smiles now, but he was about to cry when he thought his slipper was gone. We said that it deserved thank you's and hugs to ones who fished it out of the harbor. Oh dear, so much trouble!
NJ made it in his very first putt this time, we cheered him on. Then he played with it like it was skee ball. I just sat back and watched.
I stayed in the same place while the boys went with everyone else on the boat. By the time they were back it was nearly dark and past his bedtime. The water was choppy, but they said the sunset was really nice. Good thing I stuck to my seat in the house and watched some food network. Met some new cousins today again. It seems like I'm meeting new family on every visit to dad's.
