One for each of them, it worked out great! Cameron can ride the bike, Connor is the perfect size for the trike, and NJ is still excited about his new scooter, so they all had the right fit. They used the brick as their starting line to race. Connor with a bit of a head start.
Even with the cars on the driveway there was enough room for them to ride around and get some energy out.
Meanwhile, inside the dads were trying to figure out how to pump the wubble bubble or whatever it's called. They tried the air mattress pump in place of the battery powered one it came with since we didn't have the batteries for it. Hey, they got it to work!
They had a ton of fun chasing it, kicking, hitting, punching, head butting it, it was non-stop laughing. Sometimes the boys would lose their hand, arm, foot, or head in it because it was so flexible. It was quite amusing to watch. The boys got a lot of energy out and the dads wore out from it. Ha, ha.
Snacking on apples and building together, such pleasant, well behaved boys! We love it.
Mmm... some new year's hot pot together. The boys enjoyed it too! Everyone ate really well and we were stuffed! The dads need a good full hot meal to be going out into the cold later.
All ready to go! Chairs, blankets, a heater, snacks, a few layers of clothing and they are off to camp out on Colorado less than a block up the street. Thanks for doing this guys! It happens to be one of the coldest nights here, in the low thirties. While others would laugh at that, it's not normal here!
Close your eyes boys, Auntie has a surprise for each of you!
Now don't move...
Serious faces.
Smiley faces.
Swap 'staches.
Now give your upper lip a wax job!
Ouch!
Now give your guh-guh a uni-brow, pore exfoliation, and upper lip job.
OW, OW, OW Connor!!!
We all got comfy in our pajama's and made some brownies and enjoyed them with ice cream! Yum! After that, we put on the movie Nut Job that we all cozied up on the couch to watch. Every one of us... NJ half on my lap, Dot squeezed between us, Connor was next to us with Auntie and Cameron on the other side of her with Winston. All seven of us moms, boys, and doggies. All warm and snuggled together with pillows and blankets. It was the perfect relaxing fun thing to end the night (and year).
The movie ended just in time to switch over to a count down. I almost forgot about the sparkling cider. I could hear, "forty seconds..." as I'm trying to open the bottle and pour as fast as I could. I just made it in time for the countdown from ten and handed out the glasses, some mini ones for the boys so we could all clink. Yay! We all made it to midnight! (NJ's first time staying up for this) Happy New Year! So happy to be spending it together!
