Swimming and Sweeping

There was such a big mess left that we had a lot of clean up to do. There was so much sweeping and vacuuming to do I was sweating like crazy. For a break, NJ and I jumped in the pool. The water was surprisingly warm and the pool was half shaded, so it was perfect. NJ had so much fun splashing around. I'm so happy he's excited about the pool since every year has been different. Loved it, hated it, and loves it again. Can't wait until the swim lessons! 

And back to cleaning...

Yikes, where do we start?!

It was still hot and there was still so much to do that I didn't bother to change. Even after NJ went to bed, Baba and I finished up. We had to wipe down everything, it was all covered in a thick layer of dust. Vacuumed the floor, cushions, rugs, ledges... We even did some rearranging while we were at it. More photos to come tomorrow. Once we were tired of moving furniture around (man, do we have a lot of furniture!), I wiped down the counter tops. Baba looked at me like I was a crazy person- up late scrubbing the counter tops in my swim suit. I've been so bothered by the kitchen  in particular being dirty. So happy to have my kitchen back. So tired of eating out so much. I want to make real meals again.
