"Why we find eggs for Easter?"

There's those adorable dimples!
I felt like a terrible mother when I went to pick him up from school today because he was the only one with his eggs in a plastic grocery bag. We were supposed to send him with a basket and filled plastic eggs for everyone. I did none of it, yikes! I saw that the sign up sheet for bringing stuff for that day was filled so I didn't even read the bottom, which had this info on it. Oh well, his teacher said it was no big deal, there were plenty of eggs. And NJ could care less about what his eggs were in because he was so excited about opening all the eggs. On our ride home:
NJ- "Why we find eggs for Easter?"
M- "It's just for fun. But you know why we celebrate Easter? It's the celebration of the resurrection, when Jesus came out from the tomb."
NJ- "To hide eggs?"
I didn't even answer, I busted out laughing. I couldn't tell if he was saying it to be funny since he was laughing too. Maybe he was laughing because I was laughing, I never can tell with him. I know he's heard the story of Easter in school, church, and from us. Maybe to figure out what the eggs meant?
NJ is one blessed kid, he has even more train tracks! I went to help a friend that's moving and I came home with three boxes of all kinds of random great stuff. Some tupperware, a pan, utensils, bulbs, a basket, books, dvd's, toys, clothes, a purse and more. I appreciated the extras, but I mostly enjoyed the time I could spend with her and the family before they leave. I'm so sad about it!
