"I want to help"

He climbs up onto a chair every time I'm wrapping a gift or packaging something. Today I let him help a little with packing the box. But on Saturday, he takes my roll of tape and says, "I want to help. I will help you. I will get you..." He starts to tangle up the tape. He couldn't get any off the little dispenser so he looks at me and says, "I need help." Oh dear. I said, "I thought you were going to help me, now you need my help?"
