This what we hear from NJ all day long...
I put something away in the cupboard: "Doonk."
I drop something: "Doonk."
Baba closes the door: "Doonk."
Baba sits down: "Doonk."
He crashes his cars together: "Doonk."
He puts his cup on the table: "Doonk."
He bumps into something: "Doonk."
Sound effects from our three year old. Uncle Perry was the one to point it out, I kind of noticed before but hadn't really thought that much about it. Was it influenced by Uncle Perry since it's a very Uncle Perry-like thing to put sound effects to random things? Did he make it up on his own? If so, where did it come from? It's a mystery.
He's also asking with every random noise, "What's that?" Even if he knows what it is!
Dotty snoring: "What's that?"
Kid next door crying: "What's that?"
Something drops on the floor: "What's that?"
A loud car drives by: "What's that?"
A plane flies over: "What's that?"
Hmm, what else? Oh, something else he's saying a lot of, "Is that for me?" Umm, no it's not! Well, sometimes yes, but mostly no....
I take something from the refrigerator: "Is that for me?"
Baba brings home groceries: "Is that for me?"
Baba brings something out from our bedroom: "Is that for me?"
Baba brings in the mail or a package: "Is that for me?"
I get a phone call: "Is that for me?"
