"Is it time to eat?"

He asks me as he's asking for food in the kitchen. Then he goes to the table, sits down, and buckles himself into his booster. He says, "I'm hungry. I'll wait for Baba." I told him it was going to be a while. I was surprised he was willing to wait buckled since he's unable to unbuckle himself. To no surprise, his enthusiasm faded.
