"Yeehaw, my track is clean!"

"I want to save this for you Mama and Baba too."
NJ went through more eggs from his church egg hunt and gave me almost all his candy saying, "This for you, you like this, and this for Baba..." as he opened each egg. He was being such a great sharer. On his Easter bag, his sunday school teacher wrote: The best hugger and he's smart. When I read it to him he says, "I'm four and smart." Silly guy.
He wanted me to help him build his track when he said, "Mama there's something on my track, a animal." (He calls bugs an animal sometimes). He ran to get a tissue and said, "I'll do it, I wanna get it." He's usually freaked out and doesn't want to go near, but I was proud of him for wanting to do it and cheered him on. Once he was done, he ran back from throwing it away and yelled, "Yeehaw, my track is clean!"
"Where's my pen, I want to practice my letters."
After practicing some letters, NJ still had his wipe (to clean the marker each time) and I found him wiping his toys, "I'm cleaning my truck, it's dirty." And I cleaned this whole thing. It's all clean." Not only did he wipe down his truck, but also his bus, fire truck, and entire top of the shelf. Wow! Baba said, I wonder where he gets that from?
I left and came back to him putting his lego's in a box. I put it there, but how did he know I intended it for his legos? I asked him what he was doing. He says, "I'm putting my legos away because people are coming over." Oh my, he knows me well. I always ask him to put his legos away when we have guests so that he doesn't go crazy and tiny little very important lego pieces will get strewn throughout the house and totally lost. And no set will be complete. I'm a bit obsessed with keeping them complete, maybe a little too much.
When I left and came back again, NJ was holding this keyboard by two ends of a piece of ribbon. I asked him what he was doing. His response, "I'm tying a bow so we can give it to Joshua as a present ok? And this and this..." He starts picking out some of his toys. I asked him why and he told me he thought Joshua would like them. How nice of him to want to share and think of someone else. Maybe because we are always getting toys from families who outgrow them and we also collect them to pass on to others sometimes. He continued with, "We need to put this in a box and wrap it ok?" When I told him we're probably not giving them to Joshua, he asks me, "Where's the recycle box?"
NJ was so excited about dinner with Ah-ma and Gong-gong. They brought a nice big ham, a pan of potatoes, and asparagus. Amongst other goodies. It was a nice family Easter dinner together.

Sharing almost all his candy, practicing writing, cleaning his toys, putting away toys, wanting to share his toys, and just being really good all day... hmmm... I was wondering how he was having such a great day. I just thought, happy Easter to us! Well, turns out Baba had a long talk with him on the way to church about sharing. The importance of sharing, why we do it and how. And sharing should always be whole heartedly and not just a little bit. Just like Jesus did by saving us and blessing us all the time with so much. Must've been a really good talk and he absorbed it well. What a happy resurrection day.
