Be One house church together. Junpei led us with songs on his guitar. We could follow along with the Japanese in phonetics. It would have been nice if I could follow along better. Even with songs in my own language take me a while to catch on. I really liked the music though and thought it would be fun to do a song at HOPE too. It reminded me of a time that our former worship pastor Tom broke out a spanish song for everyone. Some of the songs were by a popular Japanese Christian artist. Too bad I can't remember the name because I'd look it up. The one who led us in song also led us with a message the interesting relationship between Peter and Jesus. There was also a time of sharing. Sue shared about going to the conference and their experience there. Such inspiring stories of courage. In hind sight maybe I could have shared about myself, but I think it would have been much too long. And I'm not sure what my point would be exactly. I was so encouraged by seeing everyone there, so many different ages, types of people, and from around the world gathered in one place all for God and to serve each other. Wow.
We had something like ma-po tofu over rice which was prepared by many hands for lunch. After lunch we had to say goodbye to Ayako who was returning home a few hours away. It was really good to see her in Japan, so happy she could join us. We're going to miss her.
