Rebecca and I volunteered to help with preparing food for tonight's barbecue. Beth brought Kate, Todd, Rebecca and I to the Aiyo market.
Wow, look at the fresh fish!
Todd pointed out the big slices of squid head, tentacles, and whale meat. Yikes.
Rebecca noticed the price of the large watermelons, about twenty dollars.
I've been noticing these everywhere we go so I finally bought one. It was the perfect afternoon snack that we needed. After the market we went back to the Takamoto's house to prepare the food we bought.  They said that their house was very westernized. I wasn't sure what that meant until I saw it and then it made complete sense.
I cut vegetables and put them on skewers. Green peppers, onions, eggplant, and mushrooms. Rebecca, I thank God for her because she did the chicken. By that I mean she de-skinned and thinly sliced the pieces. Three packages worth which took quite a bit of time. I know she did it because she knows I can't stand the sight or smell of raw meat, let alone handling it.
In the kitchen I couldn't help but notice what was in front of the sink. I couldn't think of anything better to look at while at the kitchen sink.
I also noticed Sue's collection of Nozomi jewelry with brochures. It was a beautiful collection.
