NJ insisted on wearing his lego necklace, but I wasn't sure it was such a great idea. But I let him keep it since I figured he'd want it if everyone else put theirs on.
NJ did the opening pledge and said something he was thankful for. He said, "I'm thankful for my mom and dad." How sweet! They also sang Happy birthday to him which was a pleasant surprise. Good thing I was still recording so I had it uninterrupted.
I also stayed for a little bit of their chapel time. I didn't stay long though, I was so tired and I'm paranoid about being in crowded rooms. Especially this time of year and since there's probably plenty of kids that might have colds. It's annoying to have to think about these things, but it's the norm.
We attempted to take a photo of him and his class, but it didn't quite work out that well. That's ok. His teacher also took one of us as a family, that was sweet for her to offer.
